Everton-Spurs

Post by tiger76 » Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:19 pm

Keane, McNeil and Tarks all start on a key evening for Everton, win this and they'll likely stay up, and with the home advantage I do expect them to bag 3 points against a managerless Spurs.

Under Dyche their form at Goodison has been decent, and similar to last season that home form could be the difference.

Always difficult to predict with Spurs involved. You can assume that Everton (under SD) will be well organised and resolute etc but how will Spurs go? Could be a wonderful Son/Kane show, an abject effort or something in between.

Ill go for 1-1.

They do seem to have a tiny bit of momentum under Dyche, will it be enough?
Can see it going down to the last couple of games, maybe even the last day.

Is an Everton points deduction a real danger?
That would scupper them it would seem.

Same here, but I’d like Sean’s first success with Everton to be promotion.

This game, for me, is typical Dyche. Overly cautious against a team that he would have every chance of beating if he was a bit more adventurous.

Might sound a bit contradictory (well, will sound contradictory) but the way we capitulated against Norwich and Brentford there was clearly something massively wrong……..

Dyche was brilliant for us………..

But he can take Everton down for me.

Only manager to leave us and not have been sacked and not get their team relegated within a couple of seasons from memory is Howe
Britton to Everton relegated
Brown to Sunderland relegated
Adam son took a little longer wasnt it Leeds then Sunderland relegated but we had sacked him
Coyle well down down and more down

Everton have barely got a player that knows what he is going to do when he receives the ball.
It makes their forward play so ponderous. Their ball winning and effort is first class.

Which point are you questioning?

For the clear punch, it was a soft palm to the face, definitely not a punch and it barely tickled him.

Red card yes, because regardless of force it is a red card act and Doucoure was stupid for doing it.

Kane embarrassing himself because I would reckon 99.9% of the population would not have reacted the way he did, I think the only 0.1% who would join him is Grealish and Richarlison.

Going to sound like by dad here, but if your mate jumped off a cliff would you do it?

Your stance that "well a lot of players do it, so it's OK" is a weak stance to take.

Would Barnes and Tella do the same? I agree, they would, doesn't mean I agree or like it though regardless of who the player plays for.
