Oh do give it a rest. He was an integral part of an excellent season.
Stop re-writing history. He’ll be another Weghorst by next week.

I tell you who you wouldn’t want in the trenches with you (an utterly idiotic turn of phrase by the way).
Somebody who turned instantly on team mates.
Snide.

Did a class job for us and was pure entertainment. I’d be majorly p**sed off too if I was in his shoes. He deserved a chance in the Prem.

Posted in last week but pretty sure his infamous bar visit in Munich won’t have gone down well in Kompany. Wasn’t it in the week leading up to the Boro match??

or Muric hasn't settled and decided he wants to go elsewhere, it happens quite a bit. Shame though, I was very much in the Muric appreciation camp !agreenwood wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 9:12 pmVK is ruthless. It’s harsh, but it the reality of football.

Did very well for us last season and deserves to start as no 1. He’s proven to be very good at Championship level. Trafford is proven at League 1 level and U21 only. Not sure I’d feel more confident with Trafford starting at all. The fee is astounding really.

Re: Muric
Mmmm…
Sorry mate, he’s just not.
Had a good season and he played really well as a sweeper, and demonstrated some serious skills with the ball at his feet, but that’s not being a keeper. Some of his other skills aren’t quite where they should be for the PL.
He’s big, but doesn’t dominate the 6 yd box… he’s an absolute unit, but doesn’t seem very strong or robust…he doesn’t seem to communicate very well with his defence and he doesn’t make every save he should be making. Next season, we will need our keeper to be making good saves or even great saves, more often than Muric has had to this last season.
I like him, he suits the way we currently play in the league we played it in. But as agreenwood asked, let’s not re-write history. He most certainly will not be remembered as a “great keeper”.

Why is the fee astounding when nobody outside of the two clubs will know the breakdown of payments etc?Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2023 9:19 pmDid very well for us last season and deserves to start as no 1. Re: Muric
Took me a bit to see the bigger picture, but he was a vital player in the way VK wanted us to play.
Nothing was perfect in the way we played all the time, but he'd an excellent season. Gave us impetus on numerous occasions.
And he improved too - in the traditional goalkeeper ways- as the season went on.

Re: Muric
I'd be happy enough if he stayed and got a crack at it, but I don't see him as our future No1.
Whilst I agree somewhat with Buxtons statement that he improved, I just don't think it was enough for me to be utterly convinced he's the man. No doubting the impetus he gave us this season, but the PL will be a totally different ball game.

He was brilliant in the second half of last season, and I was a huge sceptic at the beginning.
I sincerely hope he gets a shot at the Premier Leagie with us next season but if not he goes with my very best wishes and I hope we demand huge money for him.

Gutted if he is off but with the amount of keepers we have been linked with this was always heading this way although I expected Jan or the end of the season. Whether this is a Kompany decision or a Muric one I don’t know but wish him the best wherever he ends up.

At least 3 Burnley photos on there that I can see?
Plus about 4 or 5 others from his career. Looks like he’s just done a tidy up and archived some stuff like a lot of people do.

Re: Muric
Muric has never really looked happy at the Turf IMO.
He was walking around like a spare part when we won the Title. Yes, good competent keeper but didn't appear to be a dressing room player.
His €10k tip to a waitress, shows a lack of discipline as well, which VK obviously wasn't happy with.
****** on his own chips really.
Trafford is a massive gamble as an unproven no.1 Vigouroux may be a better option to start...but only VK knows what he wants.
Trafford is an asset investment IMO...we will see.

Mind numbing.
Who was it who wasn’t sufficiently smiling on a picture once? Andre Gray? We had pages of it. Tedious beyond belief.

Was an important part of team last season
For all those who claim he is dodgy how many goals were his fault ? Dea Gea and Pickford make more mistakes
We won’t pay £19m up front for Young Trafford that is probably how much we pay if he wins the Prem for us
In Kompany I trust

Re: Muric
Some absolute bo**ocks being posted on here about Muric.
We even have posters who know what Kompany is thinking about what a player does with his own money. You can see at time why Dyche preferred the players not to bother with social media when people look at something, make something up then pass it off as a fact.

He's a top keeper and a nice bloke. hope he stays
At the Cardiff game he only had his brother there who had problems getting onto the pitch to celebrate. He was busy sorting that out. Once he was with him, he celebrated like the rest.
