CoolKit

Post by ClaretsPadiham » Thu Jul 06, 2023 5:11 pm

Burnt down, one unit left apparently.

Started in the waste area then spread to the chemical area and went up, was in paper other day they won a £20m contract.

Got a few mates that work there, gutted.

Avoid Rossendale Road if driving

Post by ClaretTony » Thu Jul 06, 2023 5:33 pm

There are a number of road closures in the area due to a fire so if you are travelling that way it’s best to avoid. Pic taken from end of Coal Clough Lane.

What a shame, gutted for them, I was only talking to one of the directors recently on LinkedIn about their success.

I’m doing some contract work at VEKA and part of my job was to liaise with the emergency services in case we were going to be adversely affected, which thankfully we weren’t. The were huge clouds of thick black smoke billowing everywhere containing god knows what sorts of toxins but didn’t stop Stoops Estate’s finest turning up in droves, pushing prams, carrying babies or herding hordes of toddlers and under 5s. The older kids were there in their little gangs riding round on electric bikes. Two or three turned up on quad bikes, roaring around getting in the way of fire appliances some of which had been called in from as far as Blackpool. A proper great day out.

You could see the smoke for miles around.

That’s awful news for everyone concerned. They seemed to be doing really well as a company.

I saw the smoke from over the tops of Oswaldtwistle on Haslingden Old Road, and I wasn't sure if it was just a low-hanging rain cloud; it was that large

Yes
14year old mother of 4 Brittney was there with little Kai, Jaden and Dualipa. It was about 15:30 so pyjamas were the order of the day. One of the kids’ dads turned up with 2 massive pit bulls in tow that nearly took the arm off his mate, anther of the kids dads, when he went to stroke one of them. I guess the dogs were happy to get a few minutes off baby sitting the 6 week old that had been left at home.

There are at least two of these being ridden around at the moment. I have seen one around Coal Clough Lane, Barclay Hills, and a second larger one around Padiham, Lowerhouse area. Only a matter of time before someone is injured.

Just need to know where it is kept. Impossible to follow as it goes where no one else would and takes risks. Just a matter of time, and it probably won't end well.

I nearly clothes lined the rider in the woods with my dogs extendable lead near Burnley high (by mistake), balaclava on as well, the muppet.

The **** that seem to be stealing from cars and gardens on Valour park wear a balaclava as well, no doubt the same people.
