Re: Venkys
They will be screwed when the Venkys pull out, the inbreds who have suckled on the financial tit of various benefactors will have to put an advert in the FT begging for another idiot to indulge them until their cash runs out.

Some of the replies do rather suggest that the investment dropping has already been factored into the budget

Oh dear, this is all very sad news for a club that's been subsidized to the tune of £170+ million since the Venkys bought them.

While they are undoubtedly very rich, I think a lot of their investments have been backed by venture capitalists cash. I’m not sure they’d get the same backing for investing in a football club and likewise I don’t think the Issa brothers are that stupiddepechedingle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 9:26 pmhopefully the Issa brothers, aren't stupid enough to invest in their hometown club.

Re: Venkys
Nothing to see here sadly.
Apparently there'll be a veritable stampede of Saudi trillionaires falling over themselves to buy into a piece of the Ewood action should the Venkys be about to bail.
Their glorious history, it's being said, puts them in an elite group just waiting to be cherry-picked by some Arabian oil magnate just searching for a club with that special something to offer.
No-one does whistling in the dark quite like the membership of the brfcs forum.

Venkys are trying to get their debts down so their assets to debt ratio looks better ( that's what I can glean from some financial commentators) one debt is that blue and white toilet down the road and the cash they are having to flush down it.

A few months old, but more indications that the cash cow could soon dry up are quite realistic.

A spell in the wilderness, anything like the one we experienced in the 80s is what I'm hoping for. Or worse. God knows they lauded their silver over us and often brought up the 80s.

Re: Venkys
Flabbergasted they did as well as they did last season. It's a very small, very average squad. Odd that they still got mediocre crowds, because I wouldn't be surprised if last season is as good as it gets for a while.

Don't want them to go bust. Want them to be on the cusp every single season. They survive, just. Room for optimism before another drab season clinging onto life in the twelfth tier. Maybe they'll scrape enough pennies to pay the rent at Darwen's ground. Maybe they'll beat Colne in the derby? Maybe they'll hear stories from their great great great grandads about how once long ago they were able to play Burnley in the same division.

Pickles is a man after my own heart. Clitheroe beat their u-21s 4-0 recently. I would love to see the first team lose by the same amount. Having said that most of the Rovers fans I knew in 87 wanted us dead as a club not non- league so a Bury scenario would not be too upsetting. We can but hope.

It won’t happen, though. Unfortunately.

Euro garages and the Adhan group run Blackburn. They tell the council what they want and the council ensure it happens....allegedly.

Yes, but according to some on their forum, this is mixed news, since it since it might at least free up funds to sign a decent (Championship level) striker!!!randomclaret2 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 8:45 amTheir highly rated young defender Ash Phillips is set to sign for Spurs.Another one they thought would be worth fortunes but it seems he has a clause in his contract allowing him to move for £2m

But there are fans on their forum saying he'll be worth £30 million by this time next year, and therefore incredulous that this £2million release clause was (apparently) in his contract.Lancasterclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 9:37 amThey seem too rational these days

100% this. I'd have no issue watching their fans doing a collection bucket walk around at Ewood at least once a season with the higher league placed Accrington Stanley giving them a home friendly to help raise funds.Pickles wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 9:53 pmDon't want them to go bust. Re: Venkys
is this even allowed ? Isn't this one of the things City are being investigated for ?
Blackburn Rovers and Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group are pleased to announce a major long-term sponsorship agreement, further emphasising the Owners’ continued financial commitment across all areas of the club.
Rovers have agreed a five-year partnership package, which will see the Venky’s brand added to both the men’s and women’s playing kits, whilst also enhancing their visual presence both at Ewood Park and on our various digital platforms.
The new deal sees Venky’s become sleeve sponsor for Rovers’ men’s team, back of shorts sponsor for the men’s, women’s and Under-21s teams and travel wear sponsor for both the men’s and women’s sides.
Venky’s branding will also appear as sponsor on the front of shirts for the Academy boy’s teams aged Under-9s to Under-18s and the RTC girl’s teams from ages Under-12s to Under-16s.
In addition, their logo will also appear on a host of the club’s matchday social media graphics, as well as various in-stadia digital displays.

“ T’ Rovers “strike” deal with Indian Co. VH “. Well of course they do. Who else is gonna “sponsor” that no mark club/shirt/shorts?
Next, it’ll be Venky’s on the corner flags, and adorning all the empty seats for a true taste of India in East Lancs.
