Re: Nathan Tella
If he’s not coming here (and I doubt he is now personally) then all you can do is wish him all the best. Hope he gets them up so that he can get a crack at this league, like he has already earned.
Re: Nathan Tella
Think we’ve probably moved onto other targets but it does make that twitter post seem very strange and unprofessional if so. Makes you wonder what they were asking when we’ve signed other players for vast sums who are unproven at PL level. Be interesting to see how he gets on.

And that right there is why we should have bought him.

Great finish
Re: Nathan Tella
A deflected goal against a team likely relegated from the Championship is why we should spend 20 million British pounds?

I'm now in 'this bird has flown' camp.
Re: Nathan Tella
Tella is smiling, won't impress those who think he's crying himself to sleep every night because he can't sign for us.

Re: Nathan Tella
Anyone heard from GetIntoEm?
Tella was supposed to be with us for the Mainz game according to him, after saying he was due for a medical at the end of last week

Re: Nathan Tella
£15m isn’t it?
It’s what he did last season and the fact he’s bagged (however you wish to term the goal) within 10 again, not specifically ‘that’ moment. Not sure how anyone who went to Turf Moor last season could question why we wouldn’t want him!

Re: Nathan Tella
Nathan Tella will be scoring goals again this season in the Championship for Southampton. Tella didn’t look too unhappy with life after he scored embracing his manager and celebrating with his teammates.

I hope not because it would be a long thread.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:15 pmAre we gonna get this everytime he may or may not score this season?
The minute the window slams it all needs to cease. It should already because there’s no way he’s coming here by the looks. That big hug of Martin when he scored shows he’s up for it with them and knuckled down IMO. You can only be happy for him and hope we’ve got better alternatives coming.

He is young and and very good. Another good season in the Champs and his value will just keep rising. Think we will need to look elsewhere now

I only see him coming if Southampton aren’t in contention in January or fail to get promotion - but we will probably be far passed that and other targets.
It’s over guys. He was great for us but it just wasn’t meant to be

Re: Nathan Tella
Perhaps he’s just a good professional? He’s playing for the club that pays his wages and who have done since a young age . Showcasing why we should indeed sign him up

Re: Nathan Tella
I think it’s more the fact he was instrumental in our promotion , top scorer and a class above the champ . Would have thought the board could have coughed up 15m as opposed to shipping in assorted unproven low end euro “ maybes” which increases the squad rebuilding but at a much higher level .

Re: Nathan Tella
Think the Daramy bid and Odobert deal over the last few days is all the evidence we need that we've moved on past trying to bring Tella back. That free Tella video was seriously idiotic.

Tella is a completely unproven maybe according to your logic then?AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 8:22 pmI think it’s more the fact he was instrumental in our promotion , top scorer and a class above the champ . Re: Nathan Tella
Several of that Southampton team will have left in the next month, possibly Tella amongst them.
I certainly wouldn’t be getting giddy as a Saint until September at the earliest.

Aye, and if they want to play at a higher level, they will play out of their skins.
Re: Nathan Tella
Yes, he’s not coming now which makes the actions of our chairman’s daughter a bit weird.

Re: Nathan Tella
Beyond weird and rightly scrutinised bar the serial happy clappers that can see people affiliated to the club do no wrong.
They even mentioned it on the Beehole end podcast that a few that worked in PR were asked about it and said it’s basically a non starter. Stupid and unnecessary.

Re: Nathan Tella
Think we should all just move on now.No guarantee he’d do it in the prem anyway.
Re: Nathan Tella
Lots of people stating their version of fact, when actually have no clue as to what’s going on behind the scenes.
