Re: Robbie Robertson
One of the greatest. So many attracted more publicity (Jagger, McCartney, Elton etc) but this guy was the real deal.

Growing up in a family that didn't listen to secular music I was a late comer to The Band, but they are now one of my favorites. Really enjoy the Last Waltz movie and was sorry to hear of Robbie's passing.

Re: Robbie Robertson
I was only speaking to my partner about him, and The Last Waltz, 2 days ago when he
appeared on a YouTube channel called "Play for Change" that I stumbled across quite by accident.
Musicians from all over the world playing a song in their own environment and then
expertly synchronised. A really great watch and listen.

RIP Robbie and many grateful thanks for your contribution to my musical education.

Re: Robbie Robertson
Saddened to hear of the passing of Robbie Robertson. He was an brilliant guitarist and leader of one of the most influential groups of the late 60's. Music from the Big Pink is a key and authoritative album and was the benchmark to a lot of groups of that era. Robbie RIP 'Up on Cripple Creek'.

Oh man, what a legend. Dylan’s electric tour and Blonde on Blonde. Big Pink and The Band. All in the space of a couple of years. Never really got the same recognition as his peers, but one of the greats.
