I know Forest are pushing up …… and obviously he should score ….. but that is outstanding football.

Send it to Tresor.
Re: The move at the end to put Odobert through
Also …… Foster starts the break and if Odobert looks up he can roll it in to him and he’s got an empty net.

It's a thing of beauty and deserved to end in a goal

100% this but you could argue he was ‘entitled’ to shoot too (and he’s a teenager who was probably very excited ).
But you’re right - what an exciting, fast counter attack.

Great move and a good save from the keeper great to get our first win of the season UTC

Certainly shows what we can do to teams on the break.

Yes. That is what I saw.
A great stop to put the defender on his back but rolling it to Foster is what should have happened. Easy from here.
I was pleased to see that Foster didn't seem to give him a hard time, afterwards.
Re: The move at the end to put Odobert through
Zero issues with him shooting at all. Totally understand.
But City score a lot of goals by rolling the ball across like that. It takes the keeper out of the equation completely. If we’re aiming for that then that is very exciting.
Also think it’s important to highlight the work Foster does though to get up there. He covers an awful lot of ground very quickly - bodes well.

Re: The move at the end to put Odobert through
Probably our best move since Vinny came here.
Very similar to a move a Spurs side featuring Teddy Sheringham made on the Turf. End to end in a few seconds and blew me away how fast they're passing was.
Teddy hit the bar at the end of the move with a first time, outside of the boot shot.
That might have been league Cup? Game ended 0-0 early 90s.

Probably because he’d have missed as well.JimmyRobbo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:57 amYes. That is what I saw.

Sent this into a WhatsApp that has mixed fans.
United fans were saying it that was United with Garnacho/Pellistri it would literally be plastered all over Twitter/X.
Love counter attacking football done at pace like that, a joy to watch

Maybe Odobert should have scored but it was a terrific save from the keeper to deny him.

I wouldn't call that a terrific save, it hit his foot, could have gone anywhere.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 3:59 pmMaybe Odobert should have scored but it was a terrific save from the keeper to deny him.

Totally agree, Socrates.
Despite the obvious disappointment after two defeats, there we saw a clear demonstration of cohesion and work at Gawthorpe. The players have talent but they need the manager and the coaching staff showing them what they want.
The keeper did very well. Whilst it would have been great to have seen the shot go in, it's the move that matters the most for me.
