At 1.33 it was true but credit to the 2 batters who have played sensibly since Smith went.

Hundred for Head - only 56 needed now from 97 balls. The only way India can win this now is if Australia throw it away.

Such a pity as a spectacle when the crowd for a final is so partisan and one-sided.

A 6 from Travis Head greeted with silence apart from the obligatory fireworks.

Great effort by Aus, spanking India in their own back yard & getting Kohli to eat some pie.

All home crowds are partisan to a degree but its especially so in India. Oddly, when Ive been on Eng v India games in this counttry, Ive nearly always found Indian supporters near me to be more sporting than that.

Not an Aussie fan but after India’s dodginess changing pitches I’m glad they lost.

8 appearances in World Cup Finals and 6 victories is an outstanding record for Australia. Surely the one country that India didn’t want to meet in the Final.

Aussies lost their first two matches in the Tournament but have pretty much played 'proper' cricket, apart from that cracking innings by Maxwell which really was the turning point for them.
They have bowled well, they have fielded really well and they have batted well, without resorting to some of the silly shots which have found their way into the 20 and 50 over games.
Well done Australia, you deserved it.

Brilliant win for the Aussies and fully deserved
Cummins captaincy was immense
India captain dreadful the 2 opening bowlers should have been bowling well before the end as wickets were the only way India could have won the game .

India which such a good batting line up corruptly chose a bowling pitch. And deservedly lost. 😂😂😂

You must be sweating that now

Was fine once India started ok and the Aussies drifted out there was more than enough in the potential profit to cover the bet
