Lets big up the players
Was thinking with the club saying they would use the LED's more.
How about we really get behind some positive nicknames for the players to big them up. Might be a little tongue in cheek in places but i think it could help lift spirits in the camp maybe?
I know i've suggested some light hearted ones like BeckenBeyer, the Baghdad Baresi etc in the past....
What do you think?

Re: Lets big up the players
I was thinking on the way home Saturday that one great thing about last season was the number of chants/individual attachments for players- sure they weren't always the most original or imaginative chants but Beyer had his nickname, Muric became a cult figure, Zaroury, Benson, Vitinho, Tella, Taylor, all got songs.
I've thought before a nice simple thing they could do is a Twitter competition, new song of the week. Official account names a player, fans tweet in suggestions for chants/songs with a tune, player picks their fav and the club get it up on the LEDs. Some might see it as a bit of an artificial/forced way to create chants and atmosphere but it's better than what the terraces are doing at the minute and it's basically just egging on the sort of suggested chants you get here.

I would suggest the difference is that all happened naturally last season, and there's no sign of that being the case at the moment. It's like what the club are attempting to do, you can't force it, that just doesn't work.

I actually think this is one of the worst suggestions I’ve heard. It sounds cringy, amateur and a little desperate.

I think we need to be careful about how we use this information.
Are we sure that publicising Lyle's issues, above the club's statement, is actually what Lyle wants or needs on a personal level?

What I find strange when it comes to atmosphere is that we won the league at our rivals ground a couple of months ago yet we seem to sing about it for about 30 seconds a game.
At home anyway.
