Can anyone recommend a reliable gas safe engineer who can repair/service a Vaillant (ecotech plus 831) gas central heating Combi boiler? Mine refuses to start and is showing an F28 error code (Ignition unsuccessful).

I have a vaillant.
When it had an error I looked on YouTube for a fix for that error code and found one quickly which worked.
I don't know what your error code means but it is worth seeing what advice is out there.

Vaillant come with a 5 year warranty, does yours not fall inside this ?

Vaillant have a seven year warranty now, extended to ten years if you have one of their own filter magnets fitted. Vaillant enginerrs service my boiler every year and I have found them excellent.
