Antonio, Bowen and Soucek being out would be brilliant. My worry is the delivery of Ward-Prowse.

Coufal goes out of his way to avoid injury and the West Ham fans still find stuff to whinge about. Ingrates.

Their one fit striker apparently is some lad called Danny Ings...

Bowen, Antonio and Soucek would be huge misses for them though. A good opportunity!

If he didn't he wouldn't be at West Ham, I'm convinced of that.

He's done exceptionally well to get the career and moves he has done considering the injuries he's had.

Antonio being out would be an advantage. One of those players that always seems to be dangerous and would probably have a field day against our back four.

Doesn't really matter who they have up front, as long as Ward-Prowse plays and they have there centre halves fit they'll have a field day, he'll land every set piece right on the money

There's been hundreds of great players to come to Turf Moor that we should probably have been scared of playing against.

But Ward Prowse isn't in that category.

He might do well, but get a grip.

I don't know, he's the best set piece taker in the league and we can't defend set pieces.

Ward Prowse has played almost every minute in the league apart from the 1st game of the season and assisted goals in 3 games.

An awful lot of white flag waving going on

The way things are going on here if we see Ward-Prowse and Ekdal on the same field it will be like seeing Maradona v Maldini.

Nobodies scared of playing against him but I'd be very wary of his set pieces up against our inability to defend and a keeper rooted to his line who cannot handle crosses.
His set piece ability is up there amongst the best we've ever witnessed on the Turf in the Premier League

I can't say I can remember anything he has done on the Turf, but he should have played here quite a few times.

The best set piece play was Westwood and McNeil swinging in corners against West Ham's nervous keeper.

… to get upset if a poster says anything negative on a footy message board ? Not sure. They probably need a break from the board.

P12 W1 D1 L10 GD -21

1 Excellent 2 Good 3 Satisfactory 4 Below Average 5 Poor 6 Sh*te

Based on the above record and what I’ve seen on the pitch I don’t think they are far wrong with ‘shite’.

None of our players are shite though.....and if you think they are, watch a team who's players aren't shite, it's really easy.

I don't think anyone would argue we are not playing well, but some just cannot wait to come on here and go overboard with their description of the team, or players, and if you don't like it you are told to get off the board, something's not just quite right with that.

Westwood's corners were up there with the best, McNeils definitely not up there with the best.

JWP will put every set piece down the keepers throat

Burnley are the lowest scoring team in the PL but apparently West Ham have a striker crisis.

Oh, the irony. :(

The panic attack over Ward Prowse’s corners discussed above is a perfect example of why stats are better than the panic.

We have conceded 4 corners at home on average, against better opposition than West Ham. So the probability is they will have 2-3 corners.

It’d be sods law if they score from one now I’ve written this, but let’s be honest, if they have only 2-3, it is improbable.

I expect us to win but we’ll see.

Doesn't matter one bit who West ham put out it's up to us to really go for it no messing about get the wingers putting early balls in the box and turn there defence and hopefully we can cash in because we have looked a lot better in the last 2 games even though we didn't get any points.

Yet the way we conceded corners at Arsenal- who just happened to be the best corner convertors in the PL- was frightening.

Teams typically concede about 4 corners at home and 7 away. Arsenal had 13 against us, but that is at the Emirates, and as I say above our record at home so far is only 4 conceded per game on average.

On the subject of stats I saw yesterday on a TheOther14 tweet that Dara O Shea has the best headed dual success outside the big six. Not my instinct having watched the games but the stat is there.

We are that good at creating chances and scoring goals for fun at the other end I'd just forget defending corners altogether, it's not like conceding a goal from one is going to cost us points or anything

We need to City style foul in their half then it mitigates the set piece dangers

And Danny Ings gets game time to show us what we’re missing ( I hope I’m wrong) whilst putting himself in the shop window for January.
