Re: No sign of Culvert work being completed
It's a real pain in the backside to get across town from the Pike Hill Side. The Parliament Street roadworks haven't helped at all (they seem to have been dragging on and on and on, digging up one side and then the first side again), coupled with the fact they are still allowing the right turn at the bottom of Ormerod Road and now the traffic is narrowed to one lane near TK maxx, you end up with huge queues coming down from the Colne Road way. It just causes mayhem and backed up traffic for every route through. It's really badly thought and planned out.

Re: No sign of Culvert work being completed
The roadworks at the bottom of Parliament Street have now finished and all traffic lights removed. Hopefully it should help with the footfall in the pubs under the culvert.
Re: No sign of Culvert work being completed
The normal bus traffic route into the Bus station is now blocked off opposite the Keirby block. Road blocked off into town centre from the former roundabout.
Croft street traffic has changed to two way. So cars coming up church street wanting to turn right into town can't access Croft street / Hall street. & st James street.
Confused?
You will be.

I've been down today and carried on to the TL at Tesco and turned right and right again onto Croft Street to get to Wapping. No real issues for memikeS wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 5:39 pmThe normal bus traffic route into the Bus station is now blocked off opposite the Keirby block. Re: No sign of Culvert work being completed
I've repeatedly asked our MP to get involved (everytime his facebook post lands) but he seems not to want to know. The Opposition candidate ditto.

He won’t say nowt except to claim “credit” for getting the levelling up money to pay for it also known as bribe money into all the red wall seats to try and keep them blue. Worse case I have seen of money chasing a vanity project to spend it on. If anyone involved had bothered to ask the townsfolk what to spend £6m on I’m betting the towns widest ,emptiest set of new pavements wouldn’t have been on anyone’s listbasil6345789 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 7:02 pmI've repeatedly asked our MP to get involved (everytime his facebook post lands) but he seems not to want to know.
