Trafford 4 - got away with a couple of awful passes, no confidence to come for any sort of cross.
Vitinho 4 - not good enough for this level
O'Shea 4 - does a good pass followed by 3/4 bad ones, championship at best
Ekdal 5 - needs a run of games
Taylor 5
Brownhill 5 - silly early yellow stopped his game
Berge 6
Amdouni 4 - offered naff all
JBG 4 - not a premier league winger, wrong substitute
JBL 5
Rodriguez 4 - non existent
Koleosho 8 - looked promising

Tresor 4 - Belgium player of the year? What a poor league

Trafford 6 - a couple of Muric style passes through the midfield but long range passing slightly awry. No chance with the goal.
Vitinho 5 - a few bad touches and not great going forwards.
O'Shea 4 - another error from him costs us a goal. Got away with short passes at the weekend, didn’t tonight.
Ekdal 6 - Ekdalesque performance although faded badly in terms of fitness. Critical to get him and Beyer in the middle.
Taylor 6 - Lucky not to be sent off but tried to push us forwards.
Brownhill 6 - another who faded badly.
Berge 5 - and another. Only criticism for the goal is he should have smashed it into row z and given O’Shea a bollocking for the pass.
Amdouni 6 - offered our most attacking threat.
JBG 6 - Decent performance but not the player to bring on.
JBL 5 - Looked short of match fitness.
Rodriguez 4 - Missed our best chance and AWOL for the second half. Upgrade needed (as if we haven’t known since the beginning of LAST season.
Koleosho 6 - looked to be his most complete performance before his injury. Real shame.

Tresor 5 - a few nice touches but didn’t show enough to change the game.

VK 4 - Wrong to bring JBG on for Luca and criminal to leave Redmond and Odobert for the last 80 seconds of the game.

A game that was there to be won. Such a limp performance and it still took us to virtually score the goal for them to win. No urgency, composure, quality, drive and many more words that say we are rubbish. Kompany is making some very strange decisions and looks completely out of his depth. Stick the R next to our name now.

Trafford - 5 - couple of decent saves but his distribution is laboured and they have all day to regain their shape

Vitinho - 4 - I'd forgotten how often he lacks basic control but got a couple of timely reminders tonight.
O'Shea - 5 - his distribution should be keeping him out of this side although I think Berge was at fault for the goal
Ekdal - 5 - I welcome him back but there's rust
Taylor - 4 - Sarabia had him on toast

Koleosho - 6 - did ok - we need to hope the injury is not serious
Brownhill - 5 - set the tone with the first minute booking
Berge - 4 cost us the goal and the game with appalling basic control. His "control" is the same as a pass to the Wolves striker. Way too ponderous in possession. There's no fast breaks with him.
JBL - 4 - the latest to join the endless supplyline of non-performing wingers

J-Rod - 4. Has to score. Just has to score.
Amdouni - 5 - a couple of decent touches but largely anonymous

JBG - 5 - I don't see him changing games.
Tresor - 4 - thought he was a "next-level" signing and my God am I being proven right - just not the level I thought.
Redmond/Odobert - both absolutely pointless subs based on the clock. 100% on the manager.

A poor Wolves team were there for us to take at minimum a point. We've got none and deserved none in a must-not-lose game. The euphoria of Saturday is long gone. We know which result was the aberration. Too slow all over. Unable to build from the back.

I still think when we get Ekdal/Beyer we'll tighten up. But we have other problems elsewhere. Lots of them. A very deflating result and an even more deflating performance.

Trafford 6 - did alright
Vitinho 5 - meh
O’Shea 6 - steady
Ekdal 6 - impressive given 1st start this season
Taylor 5 - meh
Larsen 4 - looked exhausted from minute 5
Berge 5 - major mistake for the deciding goal
Brownhill 6 - ok
Koleosho 7 - lost any threat without him
Rodriguez 5 - has to give the keeper no chance there
Amdouni 6 - most likely but must bulk up for this level

JBG 4 - slowed us down and offered no threat

Disappointing 2nd half again. Tresor and Odobert should have both been brought on earlier.

Trafford 6- Muric needs to come in as soon as, his distribution is poor.

Vitinho 4 - As above he’s not up to this level, he’s nowhere near good enough

O Shea 5 - Error for the goal

Ekdal 6 - Not too bad

Taylor 6 - Lucky to not get sent off couldn’t cope with the pace of Semedo

Brownhill 6 - Stupid yellow early on but was all over the pitch

Berge 6 - Great first half, awful second

JBL 5 - Well off it

Rodriguez 3-

Koleosho 7 - Was causing them massive problems, real shame about the injury hopefully not to bad.

Amdouni 6 - Least he tried to attack

JBG - 6 Steady but doesn’t offer much

VK - Wrong team selection and awful subs, that second half is as bad as it gets…

Trafford- 5. Not to blame at all for the goal, made a reasonable stop from a free kick, but he was unable to cope with their press and his passing was failing as a result, 2 big letoffs that I can think of. Far from the only one who couldn't cope with it.
Vitinho- 6. Wanted to mark him 7 at first but couldn't justify it, he did alright, no costly mistakes, at least tried to get forward and make stuff happen with a shot and a few crosses but had no support ahead of him no matter who played wide right.
O'Shea- 4. Cannot make a mistake like that.
Ekdal- 6. Looked a bit uncomfortable on the left, couldn't tell if he was rusty or just suffering for his pace, not fantastic but not awful.
Taylor- 5. Struggled at times, didn't muster much at the other end.
Larsen- 5. Took a while to get going, just as he started to get into the game was moved out left and became completely anonymous, should've been subbed sooner.
Berge- 6. Strange to mark him so high with that error but he'd been really running our midfield before that and still pulled off a couple key interceptions, one soon after and one at a corner 2nd half. Poor by his high standards though.
Brownhill-7 MOM. Best of a sub-par team, had a good effort on goal. Was outmatched by the Wolves physicality at times but probably our best player.
Koleosho-6. Can't mark him higher he got subbed too early. Was hit-miss but his speed and dribbling helped peg them back, when he went off we went backwards fast.
Amdouni-5. Didn't do much at all besides win a few set pieces. Couldn't find a way past their press and couldn't create space for a teammate either.
Jay-4. Spurned our only real chance and offered nothing, he couldn't get into the game at all.

Gudmundsson-5. Wasn't a threat, for the millionth time he's much more a CM than winger now. Our attacking impetus disappeared when he came on, wrong sub.
Tresor- 5. Apart from winning a corner, he once again offered naff all. Keep waiting and waiting for him to show us what he's about and it's just not happening, he reminds me of a FIFA videogame player, all skill moves for no rhyme nor reason.

Trafford 5 - did ok overall, a couple of moments but they will happen with this style
Vitinho 6 - not a bad
O'Shea 4 - criminal ball into Berge, absolutely criminal. just go down the bloody line.
Ekdal 6 - steady away
Taylor 5 - struggled, especially after the yellow card
Brownhill 5 - broke up play well but a poor yellow and some sloppy passing
Berge 5 - as bad as the pass from O'Shea was, his first touch was ok, his second though... my word
Amdouni 4 - anonymous
Koleosho 7 - the game ended as soon as he left the pitch
JBL 4 - thought he was dreadful personally. Looked weak tonight and offered nothing.
Rodriguez 4 - HAS TO SCORE! poor against better CB's than Sheff U. We need to work out what we do without Foster.

JBG 4 - wrong player at the wrong time. Handed the game to Wolves as we were never going to get in behind them with a front three of JBG, JBL and Jay.
Tresor 4 - I swear the TV goes into half speed when he gets the ball

Again we shot ourselves.
We're not a million miles away from any of the Wolves type teams. We often more than hold our own.
Second half we were in a fog of our own making.
We've just got to take more of our chances and not give such crap goals away.
I should be manager, eh? :)

Not great in all honesty.

Suggestions that we were punished for our only mistake are fatuous. There was some pretty rancid stuff going on around our penalty area.

The thing with playing out from the back is, it's OK if you do it right. Done badly it only takes you south.

We outplayed Wolves in the first half and simply capitulated after the goal..and after replacing the fastest player on the pitch with the slowest one.

In all honestly our free kicks, crossing and corner taking wouldn't look out of place in league 2...not helped by the total absence of any kind of physical presence in the box.

Trafford. 6. Decent shot stopper...Not yet PL level with his feet.
Vit 7... I've seen worse.
Ekdal.. 8. Fine performance given his lack of game time.
OShea. 6
CT. 7 Held his own.. No obvious howlers.
Berge.. 8. Like him.. He's a good watch. Looks like a top 6 player.
Brownhills. 7 Held his own. Standard ratting display.
Amdouni. 6
Kolio. 8 Hell of a handful for such a young lad..
JRod.. 7 He's looking sharper than last year..
JBG..5..no significant contribution.
JBL.. lacking anything near the pace needed in that kind of game.

VK... Hard to fathom the subs.. Redmond looked good on Saturday.. Id have backed him to influence the game given more than about 120 seconds in reality.

Trafford 6 Did ok
Vitinho 6 Steady away
O Shea 7 Jointly culpable for their goal but okay otherwise
Ekdal 7 Good return but too slow in possession with his distribution
Taylor 7 Did well first half but struggled with the pace later on
Bruun Larsen 4 Not as effective as Saturday but still carries a threat
Berge 8 His control let him down a few times one time for their goal
Brownhill 5 Bags of effort but possess little creative skill and no guile
Koleosho 7 Our only premier league quality player in the final third, they were glad to see the back of him
Rodriguez 5 Wins little in the air from deep and too pedestrian to be effective at this level
Amdouni 6 Huffed and puffed but not really much of a threat

Subs:
Gudmundsson 4 Should not even be considered a viable option out wide anymore, not sure he`s even a viable option in midfield at this level, and I am a fan of JBG but have to realistic, he`s nowhere near prem quality

Trafford 6 couple of decent saves, laboured distribution
Vitinho 6
O Shea 5 minus 2 for an atrocious pass.
Ekdal 6 OK rusty
Taylor 6 tried.
Larsen 4 not his night
Berge 5 not fully to blame for goal
Brownhill 6
Koleosho 7
J Rod 4 that's being sentimental. Had to score, legs gone
Amdouni 5

Gudmundsson 5 can't beat a man wrong choice.
Tresor 5

VK. I'm no expert but an entire fan base can't be wrong regarding pathetic substitutions and team selection/ tactics.

Baffling substitutions for me today. JBG for Koleosho just handed them the initiative. It took away our threat and allowed them to step up. Surely Zaroury or one of the many multi million pound wingers has to come on then.

The subs in injury time just utterly pointless, other than giving them both a sizeable appearance bonus for 2 minutes work.

Yet another ridiculous soft goal give away means we don’t even get a point from what looked like a pretty average Wolves team to me.

Really hoped we’d gather some momentum from Saturday. This was really disappointing on so many levels.

Trafford 5 - a real mixed bag with his distribution. At least looks longer more often when needed now. Not a lot to do otherwise.
Vitinho 5 - a couple of good tackles but very sloppy with the ball at times.
O'Shea 6 - defended very well as he did on Saturday. A patient possession based game building from the back really, really isn't his game though. Partly at fault with the goal, should have gone long which he'd actually quite good at.
Ekdal 6 - thought he was excellent positionally. Better suited to the right hand side. Gives Kompany something to think about on Saturday.
Taylor 6 - did OK but lost a little pace on the turn which means he struggles to recover when he gets too tight. Plenty of fight though.
JBL 5 - thought he was doing OK on the right but really struggled when moved to the left.
Brownhill 7* - our best player. Broke up play really well throughout, neat and tidy enough on the ball and plenty of energy.
Berge 6 - really poor for the goal, maybe shouldn't have received the ball but an awful touch. Didn't really impose himself otherwise.
Koleosho 6 - looked very dangerous when on the pitch.
Amdouni 6 - OK but perhaps not involved as much as we would have liked.
Jay 5 - probably should have scored. One great swivel and switch field pass on the first half

JBG 5 - did OK but not involved, we perhaps needed a little more pace out wide, particularly with no threat in behind centrally.

Thought we played very well indeed in the first half but yet again poor decision making and naivety has cost us. Second half we really needed another option up front to try and stretch them and freshen things up but we are really lacking options in that area at the moment.
The organisation and general shape of the team is much, much better than earlier in the season and the first half performance was very strong. We just really have to limit those balls into the central areas, particularly in our own third.

Trafford 6 - If we are to persist with Traff then his manager is setting him up for failure because he isn't the keeper to do what he wants him to do
Vitinho 6 - People seem quick to criticise Vitinho, some wayward stuff but equally some good stuff as well. He's improving
O Shea 6 - Defended well, organised well and was vocal... blame the manager not the players for hollywood football not coming off
Ekdal 7 - Great return for Ekdal who I feel is our best CB
Taylor 6 - Probably his worst game for us this year. Still, nothing really poor
Larsen 5 - Started bright but struggled once swapped to the left
Berge 7 - Unlucky with the touch, fine apart from that
Brownhill 7* - Thought he played really well tonight Josh. Hard battle against Lemina and he was everywhere
Koleosho 7 - Shame he went off - we were much worse afterwards and allowed Wolves to push up
Rodriguez 6 - Fine - no service. Can't be expected of him to run channels - put it in the box or get him involved with build up and he's as good as ever.
Amdouni 6 - Needs to impose himself more on games when things aren't going his way if he wants to be a top player - as he has all the tools required.

JBG 5 - Not what we needed at all
Tresor 6 - Bit of a luxury we can't afford right now

VK 4 - Set us up well again but didn't react to a change in the game, shot ourselves in the foot and 2nd half was meat and drink for them. Concerned he isn't learning

Can’t rate today because I was busy and missed the first half, but the first time I checked my phone it was 8 shots to 2 for us - and I’m looking at 4s and 5s on here. A bit baffled.

If I was allowed to mark for the second half I saw, those would be the marks, but only for the second half. Seemed we did better across the 90.

Trafford 7- Looking better. Played well. No chance with their goal. I'm warming to him. One misplaced pass which was insignificant.

Vitinho 6 - Mostly good. Reasonable going forward.

O Shea 6 - LIke the rest of the team. OK. A couple of nice passes. Some decent defending. Positional sense is improving.

Ekdal 6 - Solid.

Taylor 6 - Solid enough.

Brownhill 6 - HIs energy is very important to us.

Berge 6 - Good and bad. A heavy touch gives them their goal.

JBL 5 - Not really a game to remember. Definitely better on the right.

Rodriguez 6 - Looked a missed sitter but having seen replays, it wasn't quite as easy as I thought. Plays some very intelligent passes and defends well.

Koleosho 7 - Amazing how important to us he is.

Amdouni 6 - Nice touches without too much end product to recall.

Sub
JBG 5 - A very quiet night. I think a more dynamic sub might have been a better option (AZ?)

A very disappointing night as I thought we might be able to add at least a point. We weren't awful and I think we look light years ahead of where we were in September.

Great first half then threw it away with another stupid mistake. A horrendous 2nd half with no urgency whatsoever and sloppiness all over the pitch. No team can stay up playing like that. The substitutions were bizarre.

Trafford 5 would still prefer Muric
Vitinho 5
O Shea 4 a Championship defender only
Ekdal 7
Taylor 5
Larsen 4 disappointingly poor. Looked ill to me
Brownhill 5
Berge 6 mixed bag some good work first half
Koleosho 7 looked very lively
Amdouni 5
Jay Rod 4 back to the J Rod we’ve become increasingly used to. An empty shirt.

Subs
JBG 5 wrong sub slowed us down
Tresor 5 what does this lad offer

VK - what is he thinking with the subs ? We also play like we are trying to kill time when we are actually losing.

Trafford 6
Vitinho 5
Ekdal 5
OShea 4 part of costing us the the game
Taylor 5
Brownhill 6 mom
Berge 4 part of costing us the game
Koleosho 6
JBL 5 generous
Amdouni 5
jay 4 part of costing us the game

JBG 5 generous
Tresor 5

That second half was abysmal

What a difference 3 days make :(

Trafford 5 - Made a routine save but his distribution was back to its worst
Vitinho 5 - Made a few good tackles but gave the ball away too often
O Shea 4 - A big mistake again
Ekdal 6 - His lack of pace is frightening but he is savvy enough
Taylor 6 - Turning back and stopping forward momentum is his biggest fault, all due to being totally one footed.
Koleosho 7 - Once he went off I feared the worse.
Brownhill 7 - Worked his socks off.
Berge 7* - The standout player again.
Bruun Laarsen 5 - As soon as he was switched all threat disappeared.
Rodriguez 5 - Worked hard but generally inneffective
Amdouini 5 - Worked hard but generally inneffective

Subs
JBG 5 - Offered little and for me, the wrong choice to replace Luca. As soon as he came on we went from 2 wingers threatening to the ball going backwards from both flanks. Turning back to goal does not frighten defenders, well not the oppositions anyway.

Stupid defensive errors really has me believing it's stubborn to keep repeating the same tactic over and over if the people on the pitch aren't learning anything.

Some interesting marks, didn’t really see any 4s, thought Brownhill did well tbh.
Will score tomorrow with the emotion out of the way

Trafford 5 fine , mixed pass rate success
Vitinho 6 lively though desperately need better
O Shea 4 - UZI like distribution…
Ekdal 6 decent return for the gutsy Swede
Taylor 6 tough night for CT but some smart decisions
Koleosho 7 our main threat
Brownhill 7 proper shift from the jug eared terrier
Berge 5 - donkey like showing from the leaden footed giant
JBL 5-largely ineffective 2nt
Rodriguez 5 slowing, top save denied the man bunned homeboy
Amdouini 6 got stuck in

Subs
JBG 5- the geysers and volcanos surely await ?

A good 1st half upto the 43rd minute but a poor and ineffective 2nd half

Trafford/O'Shea/Berge all deducted a point for their part in the goal, all were culpable at various stages

And to say we have a squadron of wingers JBG was completely the wrong sub which lead to us killing JBL's threat after needing then to shift him to the left.

I find it a little galling that even after spending over 100 million quid on players we still pack our team out with stalwarts from the previous regime

Trafford 6 - very little to do but why didn’t he just pick the ball up instead of passing out to O’Shea for their goal? Huge inexperience.

Vitinho 5 - poor defensively and also in ball retention.
O’Shea 4 - shaky on the ball and dreadful pass for their goal.
Ekdal 6 - calm and assured. Was up against a quick forward but didn’t seem to struggle…
Taylor 5 - good first hour but then seemed to regress and really struggle towards the end. Losing Koleosho in front of him didn’t help his game.

JBL 4 - really poor from him tonight. Offered nothing and looked slow, weak and out of ideas.
Brownhill 7 - battled hard, made some very good interceptions but not really enough composure/quality on the ball.
Berge 7 - our best player again but you could also argue he was lucky to stay on the pitch after a few similar fouls. He didn’t get much help from his teammates.
Koleosho 7 - very bright and looked a threat.

Amdouni 4 - completely anonymous tonight. Couldn’t get involved and the game just passed him by.
Rodriguez 4 - another who was totally ineffective and should have been hooked but we have no forward options to replace him.

JBG 4 - offered very little apart from decent ball retention. Didn’t look a threat and when he came on our front 4 got very pedestrian.
Tresor 4 - another typical substitute performance from him. Lacked energy, heart and desire.

Our front 4 were completely ineffective and looked shot at with 30 minutes to go - where were the subs when they could make a difference to the game?? Very poor management to leave it too late when everyone could see it. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Trafford 6 - seemed affected by home supports jeers, last couple of games his passing has got better, but it’s still poor
Vitinho 4 - league one player
O’Shea 5 - as a few have said, 1 good pass followed by 3/4 bad ones, his best ball is a diagonal/long ball, so use it more
Ekdal 6 - very rusty, and won’t shake that rust as Beyer will be straight back in at the weekend
Taylor 5 - had a tough game once Koleosho went off
Brownhill 6 - 1st min booking held him back
Berge 6 - after the booking and giving the ball away for the goal, offered very little
JBL 5 - there’s a player in him, but looked tired and may as well have left the pitch once he was swapped flanks
Amdouni 6 - tried to get things going, not much around him for support
Koleosho 7 - our biggest and only threat. MOM
Jay 6 - dropped a little too deep and looked to force/rush play a little. Needed a rest after 55/60 mins

JBG 4 - not entirely his fault but shouldn’t have come on when he did. Offered very little, slowed everything down.

VK 3 - gave the game away with having no plan b. Those subs in the 92nd minute are as baffling as they are insulting to the 2 lads coming on. Chasing a game and you give them 90 seconds in a second half where we hardly had any of the ball and created next to nothing.

Trafford 6 (did ok, but his longer passes into midfield always sh*t me up)
Vitihno 5
O'Shea 6 (did ok, but has to share responsibility for the goal)
Ekdal 7
Taylor 7
Brownhill 7
Berge 6 (awful first l touch for their goal and faded as the second half wore on)
Koleosho 8 (definitely had them worried and on the back foot, but how lightweight are we when one innocuous blocked tackle puts a guy completely out of the game?)
Amdouni 6 (lots of trickery running round in circles)
Jayrod 4

JBG 5
Tresor 5
Overall we played pretty well, especially first half, but teams always know there's mistakes in us and all they have to do is wait and pounce unfortunately. Koleosho going off made us far less threatening sadly and I was very disappointed that we huffed and puffed second half and created basically nowt. The substitution situation (as others have said) was somewhat bizarre and certainly didn't help us as we were crying out for something different after 60/65 minutes and surely VK could see that. Also I thought Dawson showed the value of some good old school experience at the back and was excellent and showed what we're lacking.

You just can't resist me can you? I've a rent free winter thank you sir.

There was nothing to say Saturday we played the worst team in the league who had 10 men. We couldn't judge anything off that performance, tonight we played another relegation rival and struggled
