Todays football 9-12-23
One of only two games per season when I shout for DL and they’ve just taken the lead at Deadwood.

Bastards losing 1 0
Re: Todays football 9-12-23
It's hard wanting those DL bastards not to lose but one has to do what one has to do.
Come on Liverpool.

Re: Todays football 9-12-23
How the hell was Ayew's second yellow a yellow? Seriously, can you imagine if that was a Liverpool player, Klopp would be in full blown meltdown. I know it's favoured us (maybe) but it's not right at all.

Officials won the game for Liverpool, Roy has had a very bad week. Booked as well today.Goodclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 2:37 pmHow the hell was Ayew's second yellow a yellow? My stream flicked over to a half empty Old Trafford just in time to hear the boos.
Such a shame for the poor mites.

As I've said before, let's hope they don't sack Ten Hag til he's pushed a few more hundred million down the khazi.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 4:59 pmMy stream flicked over to a half empty Old Trafford just in gim to hear the boos.

Ten Haag isn't the problem, it's the dressing room. It has been the problem for years.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 5:01 pmAs I've said before, let's hope they don't sack Ten Hag til he's pushed a few more hundred million down the khazi.
He probably will get the sack, but if I owned utd I'd tell him to sell whoever he wants and clear the lazy, moaning sods out.

Missed the goal.
Villa we're hugely impressive v City.
Been wondering how they'll shape up today.

I didn't say he was the problem, only that I hope he wastes as much money as possible before he gets the bullet.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 5:42 pmTen Haag isn't the problem, it's the dressing room. It has been the problem for years.

Re: Todays football 9-12-23
It wasn't meant as a dig at you, rather the pundits and media who fail to see that their mates, the players, are the problem. They've undermined the last 4 or 5 managers, yet its always the manager pays the price.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 11:35 pmI didn't say he was the problem, only that I hope he wastes as much money as possible before he gets the bullet.

While I get there’s some bad apples in there, Ten Hag has spent c. £250m on Antony, Onana, Mount and Hojlund and none of them look anywhere near.

Re: Todays football 9-12-23
No one will look good until they start playing for each other and the team. It's why they were a better team last season with Weghorst, because Wout put in the graft up top that Rashford et al. think they are above. He did this despite his so called team mates regularly passing around him or taking on difficult shots when they had easier passes to let him in. It isn't the players Ten Haag bought. As I said, this issue has been there for the last 4 or 5 managers. It's the lazy selfish sods he inherited.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:46 amWhile I get there’s some bad apples in there, Ten Hag has spent c. £250m on Antony, Onana, Mount and Hojlund and none of them look anywhere near.

Re: Todays football 9-12-23
It partly is the players he’s bought though. Do you think Antony’s work rate and attitude have been good enough? Bearing in mind he cost £80m. If the players are lazy, why does he keep giving them a gig? Rashford has been a regular, astonishingly Martial started yesterday, Amrabat (another Ten Hag signing), who’s been highly disappointing, starts ahead of Mainoo. There’s long term issues but the manager has to take some of the blame here.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 12:16 pmNo one will look good until they start playing for each other and the team.
