How can anyone be happy with this?

Even if I was a Villa fan I wouldn't be happy with that. It's just b0llocks and a huge indictment on the state of these weasels that ruin football matches every week.

I don’t know about Connor Roberts having it out with Jacob Ramsey, he should bollocked his younger brother instead.

I love Connor Roberts' passion.

Soft decision but that’s at least the third time Ramsey has given a goal away due to a horrible first touch, and he’s hardly played.
Someone keeps subbing him on and every time he makes a mistake to give away a goal. Someone is not learning.

Played well. Unlucky. Hard when you’re up against more players and a referee who was not letting us escape with a point.

We will nuke Luton.

I know this has been cruel, and to nearly get a point with 10 men against a team that had 15 consecutive home wins is a great achievement. However its defeats against Palace, WHU, Bournemouth and a few more that decide our future-all there to be won

They could stamp it out. A number of players diving and feigning injury. It's simple, issue bans (not fines) for players found guilty. It will soon stop just like demanding players are booked soon stopped.

I can't understand why the PFA aren't interested in it. It's professional players on professional players. My professional representative body acts to prevent me from certain actions detrimental to my fellow professionals.

My head is held high that is a wonderful battling performance that didn’t deserve to be on the losing side.

Would stop bringing Ramsey on in close games though - he’s not up to it mentally yet. Far too casual

We’re basically written a season off in order to give these young players we’ve bought the time and space to potentially develop into better players.

Some of them are now improving but it’s too late and we’ve sacrificed too many points already.
With Foster and Trafford both attracting praise from many quarters for their performances I find it difficult to imagine both players plying their trade in the Championship.
Having developed young players we take the money and start all over again.

Doesn’t mean they don’t miss them. But penalties like that have been given for years I can think of loads just this season that have been given.

It’s crap don’t get me wrong, but they are common place nowadays

Absolutely. One of the key areas SD had sorted was not losing to those around you. Those make the big differences and determine your fate.

I know we've been poor a lot, but I still think we've been unlucky to get this many points. Forest away, west ham at home, palace at home, this game. Probably others where 9 times out of 10 we take all 3 points or at least a draw

Played well, and for all the attempts Villa had, but for a soft pen and a shameful decision on the handball we could easily have had that.

Come on clarets. Let’s batter Luton.

Battled hard and showed a lot of fight and you can see the team slowly grow and get more competitive just a shame its unlikely to be enough to keep us up.

Anyone moaning about VAR or the ref about the key decision is just very biased towards the team they support as Fosters goal was clearly offside, Villa's second was clearly onside and it was a stonewall penalty with Ramsey taking a heavy touch and kicking the Villa players boot instead of the ball

Sadly we have to face up to the fact that there is a PL directive that we have to be relegated. There were so many wrong decisions today that it could only be corruption. Simple as that

You listen to pundits when the ref doesn’t give a pen and they say there wasn’t enough contact,if the ref gives it they say the forward felt a touch so it’s ok to go down, just paying lip service to the narrative.

Gutted, thought we were brilliant today, play like that every game away from home and we will survive. The players deserved far more for that performance. A positive sign, quite clear we’ve turned a corner from the early season horror show, hard to take that result.

I’d be sending Ramsey on loan again.

He’s nowhere near ready for PL football - doesn’t have to r mentality for it right now.

It’s tough but if that was Cullen on there instead we come away with a point today

What about the blatant handball from their defender that prevented a goal scoring chance?

The Berge second yellow is harsh IMO, normally referees will give a little leeway.

The penalty, does he even touch him?

Offside and onside decisions correctly made by the linesmen

Correct to send off Berge.

Awful not to give the handball.

Not a stonewall pen.

Slightly off topic, but someone at the club needs to invest in a new subs bench. Our players keep getting injured on the current one.

Dean Smith who is Villa through and through said there’s no way it’s a penalty.
I dont care what he says, Ramsey kicked his boot which will cause anyone to lose balance when they are running

To sum up
Berge soft sending off
Defence nearly always concedes a soft goal
Their guy should have had a red for deliberate handball
Never a pen
Foster excellent
Definitely improving because instead of blaming VK et al I feel we’ve been robbed .
