Re: Burnley v Luton
I have no idea how that didnt get referred back to the ref and then called a foul. At first I thought Trafford might have run into him but its obvious the Luton player deliberately blocked Trafford and if the ref hasn't spotted it then its a clear and obvious mistake.
I was actual quite calm looking at the replays as I was so sure it would get disallowed

Not being funny, but if we had our proprer goalkeeper in goal that would not have happened, this guy is a good keeper but two lighrweight

Those of you who think Adebayo doesn't move towards Trafford, blocking his jump. With no attempt to get the ball. Need your bloody eyes testing.

For me and having seen VAR it's a 50/50, ref blows foul it's not being over turned but equally there's not enough in it to overturn the goal either. Trafford has been excellent tonight imo but that is a critical error of which a number of us were fearful of going into tonight's game

A team of indivduals vs a team that's a collective.
Sorry but tonight is a huge indictment on 'the model'.
It's b0llocks, an expensive mess.

All for giving treaor a chance because he obviously has pedigree. But he's last the person on Earth you want for a last 5 scrap to hold a lead. He's scared to death of a tackle.

Yep agreed. He was caught out after having such a good game. Why was he expecting to run through such a crowded area to parry that?box_of_frogs wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 9:41 pmI don’t blame the VAR there. Trafford was no where near it.
Everyone will shout VAR unfairness but they got that right.
We missed countless chances to make that 3 or 4, I dont blame that incident on why we haven't come away with 3 points

9 times out of 10 that gets disallowed. Player backs into the keeper with no intention to get the ball. It's blatant.

People really want to hate on Trafford, their man has literally blocked him off with his back turned,.no intention of playing ball. Gets given 99 times out of a hundred

Re: Burnley v Luton
How many points has Trafford cost us now although VK was equally to blame for the insane subs of Odobert and Amdouni. We lost any attacking threat and handed the initiative to them. Amateurish at best

He actually timed his foul to perfection.
Let Trafford take off and a subtle little nudge.

It is utterly blatant. No effort to play the ball. I'm all for removing a few goalkeeping defences, but this is a proper officiating **** up, it really is.
I'm not all about the conspiracy theories, but any of the big six get that ruled out for a foul.

When they show it from behind the goal it is a foul but they kept showing from the other camera it’s harder to see if it’s a foul or not.

Overall there a team of fighters who maximise what they have with a bit of premier league know how.
We ain’t.
It was a foul I think but overall it doesn’t gloss over they have a squad for here and now

Re: Burnley v Luton
Im a big optimist but there is no way in the world that we played well there and Luton were definitely worth a point. We squandered possession countless times weakly. Notwithstanding the rights and wrongs of the incident at the end.
Re: Burnley v Luton
Whether we played well or not that was a foul and 2 points dropped. He didn’t jump for the ball, just turned his back and got in Trafford’s way
Re: Burnley v Luton
I can’t understand why so many so called Burnley fans revel in a decision, that hurts our club so much!

Not being funny but people are so negative on here rather than acknowledge that was as clear as day a foul... they would rather take the opportunity to attack the team and particularly the goalkeeper.
Generally don't get involved on here much because it is so nasty at times. But also can't help myself on this occasion. I know every club has them, but genuinely feel some 'fans' on here legitimately deserve the likely upcoming relegation.

Seen it again at a different angle, f##k me.. Var doesn't like us.. baffling
Re: Burnley v Luton
I don’t think we were great either but to say we were fortunate to get a point is just your typical UTC overreaction. I don’t think Luton had a sniff all night, just more of the ball.Terry Cochrane wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 9:58 pmIm a big optimist but there is no way in the world that we played well there and Luton were definitely worth a point. Re: Burnley v Luton
Trafford is making a run at a parry, any attacking player has no reason to get out of your way and put you off. I don't see an issue with that. There's a touch but really, he wasn't flattened or poleaxed.
What annoys me is yet again, we wasted 3/4 guilt edge opportunitties to kill a game and we didn't. Then we pay for another last minute point robber.
File under West Ham, Palace, etc

It showed the VAR replay on TV about 15 times and Trafford looks weaker and flappier the more it replays.Indecisive wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:00 pmNot being funny but people are so negative on here rather than acknowledge that was as clear as day a foul... they would rather take the opportunity to attack the team and particularly the goalkeeper.

I agree they deserved a point but that decision is outrageous! He completely blocked the goalkeeper coming for the ball. However on reflection looking at the big picture, we’re going down and that’s a certainty.

Tbf boatshed even if he wasn’t blocked off he was getting knowhere near that one. Look at the point of contact and where the ball ends up.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:00 pmHe's come for, and got, just about everything tonight. Of course he was nowhere near the ball, he was blocked off.
I honestly think that’s why the ref gave it. Can’t think of any other reason

You should watch it again. It’s a clear as day foul. Adebayo literally blocks him by twisting his body and has no eyes on the ball. Luton couldn’t believe their luck that it was given.criminalclaret wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 10:01 pmTrafford is making a run at a parry, any attacking player has no reason to get out of your way and put you off. Totally agree, and yes Luton probably had the better of the game but what did they actually create? We made the best chances. I don’t think Luton had quality chances but let’s be honest they were worth their point. We were awful and buckled under their constant pressure.
