The ball that came from the right wing before Fulham got the corner they scored off was about 5 yds from the goal line and around 7 ‘ high Trafford could have caught it with one hand but was rooted like a statue on his line ,ok Vitinho was shocking but Trafford’s overall positioning is shocking ,if Kompany plays him next week it needs both of them to pack their bags.

Do you still think that after todays spectacular cock up?Anthonini wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 6:30 pmAnother great game from our goalkeeper. Faultless again as far as I'm concerned. Some say he made a mistake by trying to claim the cross at Luton's equaliser but it looked like a good decision to me. Ref should have always called a foul.
Each game I'm more impressed by his abilities. Definitely PL standard and probably better already than half of the league.

I just feel sorry for the lad. Should’ve been taken out the firing line a good while ago. He clearly isn’t ready and it’s killing us. (He isn’t the only problem)

Yes, coward. Being scared to come out and claim the ball is cowardly.
Re: TRAFFORD
Mostly disappointed with Ekdal who looked oh so weak. Trafford kept us in the game I feel. Some amazing saves for me one of our best players.
Re: TRAFFORD
Id have to watch that again, i dont completely disagree im not a big fan of Trafford. But specifically the 2nd goal im not sure there was a lot he could do, he was hung out to dry.Westleigh wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 5:29 pmThe ball that came from the right wing before Fulham got the corner they scored off was about 5 yds from the goal line and around 7 ‘ high Trafford could have caught it with one hand but was rooted like a statue on his line ,ok Vitinho was shocking but Trafford’s overall positioning is shocking ,if Kompany plays him next week it needs both of them to pack their bags.
I actually though he possibly could have saved the first one on the replay but id have to watch again.

Re: TRAFFORD
Thought Trafford was excellent today, kept us in the game. The second goal is a weird one because the pass was inch perfect if he comes, he doesn’t get there.
He does kind of get caught in the middle but it’s schoolboy defending for the defence to get caught out by one long ball straight down the middle.

It’s a waste of time arguing any point as all his mistakes get highlighted along with general weakness and naivety, whilst at the same time all the routine work gets blown out of all proportion.
He’d be a great 5 a side keeper where reaction saves are needed and no defender is allowed in the box. On the big boy pitches he’s no where near ready for this level of football.

A lot like his manager who hasn’t yet demoted him to the bench. They have both cost us this season more than any others.

If you watch the first goal back, the header comes off Berge, it wasn’t even going towards goal till it his Berge.
But a real lack in concentration to let the ball go out thinking it was a goal kick

The only way he will be brilliant is if we have 60+ % of the ball.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2024 6:13 pmI’m sure Trafford will be brilliant in the Championship. Remained number 1 I presume due to his price tag.
The championship is a bit more thuggish then the EPL and I think he will fold under any physical pressure as he is built like a racing snake.

Kept us in it yet again.
However, despite playing behind a world-class defence, being too expensive, not Muric and being a total coward, he’ll also be to blame for famine, war and pestilence.

Any proper manager would have dropped him after spurs at home , it’s embarrassing how this is allowed to continue week and week month after month. Stupidity at the highest level.

Re: TRAFFORD
Laughable. He doesn’t command his area, he’s either rooted to his line or flaps at crosses, and the majority of his saves are camera saves.
Add the slow distribution to that list too. I really don’t see why he’s our undisputed number 1.

Really don't know how you can confidently say that as a longstanding supporter leisure.
I'm not gonna dig him out and say he's s**t because he isn't and is still young, but I think the difference in our play, both build up and ability to retain possession (which is meant to be our game btw) with Muric between the sticks is so pain-stakingly obvious to see.

He was at fault at the corner as well. Got beaten at his near post by a weak header. The ball went over his head between his arms, and he was 2 yards behind the goal line.
Powder puff weak little boy is what he is.
It’s ok he made 2 saves in the 90 mins and he’s a superstar worth ever penny of the £19m transfer

Missed the flight of the ball last match and now this one was nowhere near it again. Scared to stand up tall at corners. Unbelievably weak.
The second was horrible, stood in no man’s land asking to be lobbed, second time this season.
Should not be no.1 end of. As a back up or on loan for the future no problem.

Re: TRAFFORD
Neither goal was Trafford 's fault and I'll nail my colours to the mast and say I'm not actually a fan. He was actually good today and made some pretty good saves second half. Assignon (who was otherwise extremely good) is initially at fault for the first goal because he stupidly lets it go out when he could have cleared it and it was blatantly obvious it wasn't a goal kick. After that the defending of the corner is league two level and that's being kind.
