Re: RIP Satch
Met Satch 1992/3 when I did some taxi driving for Blue Star cabs, Padiham. He had a regular gig, dj-ing at The Cattle Market. He could certainly tell a tale and he seemed to have a lot of tales to tell.

Never knew him personally but he was always on in the pubs of Padiham doing his turns.
Rest in peace

Certainly a character I only walked passed his house yesterday and thought I hadn't seen him for a while then woke up to the news he had passed away. RIP Satch

Re: RIP Satch
RIP John. He was the man who drew people into the Miners, for the afternoon session of what was known as the Monday Club. He was a good singer and very good joke teller. Lots of people got up to sing, some good and some bad, but it was always a popular and well known afternoon out, thanks to Satch.
