Everton
Is anybody else sick of listening to whinging Everton fans and celebrity followers ?
Typical Scouse attitude .
Found guilty two seasons too late to help us when justice should have been served .
Now despite admitting another charge they keep moaning about the unfairness of it all .
Yes the Premier League should be chasing other clubs notably
Manchester City , but that doesn’t detract from Everton’s guilt .
Let’s hope the Premier League doesn’t cave in on this one .

Re: Everton
They won’t cave in but imo there will be no points deduction.
If there was in 2 or 3 years the Championship would be a better Division than the Premiership with Liverpool champions At Christmas

Re: Everton
The last thing we want is for Everton down with us. And if we finish bottom Forest as well.
It would make getting back up so much harder. Especially if an Ipswich go up this season and leave Leeds or Southampton down.

On the subject of Evertonian celebrity fans constant whinging I totally agree, take your punishment youvadmited to it,an independent panel punished you,end of. No whinging a couple of years ago when Richarlison threw the flare, should have been banned straight away not after when his goals and contributions kept Everton up when live TV evidence was finally accepted that it happened.

Re: Everton
I find Everton fans complete failure to accept their wrongdoing absolutely staggering.
I initially had some sympathy for them (financial mismanagement isn’t their fault), but their reaction - essentially calling the premier league corrupt when it is in fact their own club and management who cheated - is beyond ridiculous.
So now I really hope they throw the book at them. Despite it potentially meaning they’re in the Championship with us next year.

Re: Everton
How does one distinguish a “scouse whinger” from a Burnley supporting message board whinger, as illustrated by the op? (Other than by accent of course.)

We’ve become their unofficial feeder club. If we can get rid of Brownhill to them for £10m I will **** my sides.

Re: Everton
Part of the modern trend to accept no responsibility for historical wrong doing. Society has been let down by populism in politics, now society apes the politics of the last twenty years of political rule.
Attracting money and power is all that matters, turn a blind eye… oh that went wrong, we need to apply rules… oh no the system broke when no one cared. For Everton v the Premier League… see the United Nations.

completely agree with the OP
on just about every football show I've watched / listened to, the pundits have all been banging on about the unfairness of it all to Everton / Everton fans ringing in whining etc
don't get me wrong, its high time the rest of them get their comeuppance, gowd only knows how they intend to do this with Man City and their army of barristers
not once has any pundit or any everton supporter given a single thought to the teams (us) that were directly affected and relegated by their actions.
Can you imagine the reaction to this the other way round and we'd been found guilty of cheating and as a result, a 'grand old team' like Everton had been relegated; we would not have heard the end of it, ever.
As it is, not a peep from anyone.

Exactly what I've been thinking. It's going to hard enough to repeat last season without any of that lot in there with us.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:50 amThe last thing we want is for Everton down with us. And if we finish bottom Forest as well.

Re: Everton
Doesn't surprise me in the slightest, they have some of the poorest fans in football when it comes to their attitude and approach. Only their neighbours across the park are worse.
Re: Everton
I’d take it being harder for us next year, just to see those cheating scousers drop.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:50 amThe last thing we want is for Everton down with us. And if we finish bottom Forest as well.

They didn't earn the title of self pity city for nothing. If it was us yes we would moan but get on with it their sense of entitlement just ensures they will go on and on and on.

Leeds v Southampton !
Re: Everton
Would they be that good if they went down? They would have players wanting to leave and would have to sell due to their finances, especially if we put in, and win, a claim against them. I doubt if they made any money on sales they would be able to use much of it for signings.

They’d almost certainly lose Tarks, Pickford, Branthwaite, Onana, Coleman, Mykolenko, DCL & Dwight. None of them would want to play in the Championship and I doubt they’d be able to afford them if relegated.
They’d look a very different ‘outfit’ as Dyche would say. They’d have to go through a major upheaval and that may impact them but you’d expect them to have enough strength in depth to be right up there at the top of the Championship.

They would have 2/3 times our match day income.
At least double our sponsorship.
Would probably sell Onana, Branthwaite and Pickford for over 150m.
Re: Everton
The result of their first case is due soon. If they get found guilty they either stick with the 12 points deducted or have it reduced. That will also mean they'll be due another at the end of the season. Alternatively they could get away with this one and have no further punishment at the end of the season. Its just a shame we're not giving ourselves a fighting chance to stay in the division, as previously said it will be bad news for us if either of Forest or Everton come down with us!
