Liverpool/Luton
0-1 Luton
Re: Liverpool/Luton
Serves Klopp right for playing a very weak team. Awful for us if it stands

Re: Liverpool/Luton
Why is it awful for us ?
Re: Liverpool/Luton
We're down and Luton will finish about ten points better off than us, as they are currently. And that's a sad indictment after last season.
Tonight has nothing to do with us.

If Liverpool win we would have 13 games to catch Luton, they would be 7 points in front.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
At our current trajectory we wouldn’t catch them if they don’t pick up another point all season.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
Pretty much my thoughts.
There's more chance of Tommy Robinson going on Hajj than us staying up.

Would really enjoy a Luton win tonight.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
Amongst the quality they have they are also fielding some absolute journeymen - just shows how important man management, picking a system to suit the players and building a proper team is.
Football most definitely isn't top trumps.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
If Edwards keeps Luton up he should be manager of the season but no doubt the league winner will get it

Like we did under Dyche.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:22 pmWell, they've made HT still ahead.
They might not win, but they're putting a real shift in
here, make no mistake.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
Thought it for a while (as others on here have) btw but we have the personnel to play a similar system to what Luton do - it's just the left wing back position that's a bit of a ?
Defenders are ideal for a back three like, wingers coming more infield in a front three as well.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
3-1, utterly smashed by half a Liverpool side. The gap between the top sides and the rest is gigantic
Re: Liverpool/Luton
Obviously I'm aware there would have to be a sharp upturn in performance.
If Kompany can't get any response for the next 3 games he should resign.
Re: Liverpool/Luton
Luton collapsing like a pack of cards 3-1
Re: Liverpool/Luton
They've done nothing this half.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
got to give Klopp a bit of credit, always gives the kids a chance. There are plenty of managers who would play with less players on the bench to make a point
Re: Liverpool/Luton
OK another game we could or should get something out of if the team have any of the belief he's been on about recently.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
They’ve been shite in the main. I’m not saying we’re going to get anything because we are also shite but they’ve won like 2 in 12 or something.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 9:24 pmBrentford were superb at City last night, they will batter us

Brentford already blew us away at theirs tbf. They get some mixed results.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 9:24 pmBrentford were superb at City last night, they will batter us

Re: Liverpool/Luton
I might have missed it, but does it show they can concede one less to Liverpool’s reserves as we can to Arsenals first XI?CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:19 pmjust shows how important man management, picking a system to suit the players and building a proper team is.

In the main Luton have made a far better fist of this season than us,and I can imagine they’ll have at least 10 more points than us come the end of the season.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
They are no better than us.
If the 2 games where we've been robbed (Forest and Luton) had gone the right way the table, excluding Everton woul have us on 17pts, Luton on 19 and Forest on 23.
I'd fancy us to have been able to turn that around.

Re: Liverpool/Luton
love Arsenal losing too, arrogance of their fans is off the scale
Re: Liverpool/Luton
Sorry if you have a table where everyone is given points when they’ve been robbed we’d still be next to bottom, and if the have a table without VAR we’d still be next to bottom.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 9:54 pmThey are no better than us.
