I might have missed it, but does it show they can concede one less to Liverpool’s reserves as we can to Arsenals first XI?
What a win for Burnley!
No it's just a reflection of the job that Rob is doing with a team that aside from Barkley, Lokonga and I suppose you can include Andros as well, are with respect, Championship journeymen - at best.
That's the difference.

They are very lucky they got this version of Barkley (and credit to them for taking the chance on him). He could quite easily have been the next Danny Drinkwater but he's been top drawer for Luton

It's a good point, though I think Ross has always had more about him than Danny, no? Like may have not quite lived up to what he was touted for but never tossed it off and has always been a good pro, correct me if I'm wrong.
Rob is just definitely getting the most out of him and the squad- similar how Sean got the most and rejuvenated JB's career and squeezed every last drop out of players like Ward, Lowton etc

Yes agree about Barkley but he most certainly got lost for 4 or 5 years
I said to my Luton mate a few months ago that Edwards is their Dyche moment in history.

Not just Barkley but Lokonga.
They have a very fit and strong (plus technically gifted) midfield two.
Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Lokonga gets a big move in the summer. I saw that Klopp has been talking about Lokonga for a few weeks now

I wonder what Luton fans make of their manager ditching the keeper who got them promoted.

got to give Klopp a bit of credit, always gives the kids a chance. There are plenty of managers who would play with less players on the bench to make a point
Always hated it when managers did that. Surely you can put a few young lads on the bench even if you had no intention of using them. Be a good experience for them as well.

From Forest. I very much doubt they were priced out of it given he ended up at Cardiff.
Or maybe they were, like we were with some loan players.

Looks like they’ve gone with the core group they got them promoted though. Just added a bit of quality here and there.

Luton seem to have athletic, strong players throughout. Who all seem as if they would run through brick walls.
Fair play to them.

But will still probably end the season with the same outcome as us. Just shows that whatever style you play the gulf between championship and this league is massive

He replaced him with someone better, at least.

Very likely.
I'd say they have given themselves a bit of a chance.
This chance can very easily dissappear with a couple of bad results though.
If they get the the last 2 games still in with a chance I'd very much want the type of player they have over a young, naive, developing kind.

Maybe so but the way things have turned out luton were supposed to be the underdogs & we were supposed to be making a real go of things & the opposites happened. If anything it's not really a marker of where you finish in the championship to how you'll fare once promoted.

The lad never had chance to prove himself.

Have they given themselves a chance, or has Everton's points reduction put them in that position?

So much to like about Luton this season the way they have done things, but that second half performance from them last night was absolutely shocking

Their game is to have all 11 at full intensity, with every one at the top of their game. Then you inevitably get a second half last night when you meet Liverpool at the top of their game and there is nothing left in the tank for Luton to contain them

So called Burnley fans desperate for Luton to win so you can use it to hammer your own side…..
We gave a much stronger Liverpool side a far better game at Anfield

4pts behind forest and 5 behind cp. I'd say a chance.
If any of the 3 promoted clubs stay up it will most likely be them even if no further ptd deductions arise.
