Not a chance they increase the price now after the non attendees on Sunday.
It would be business suicide.

If up to 4/5k didn't turn up when they already paid. They aren't renewing with a price increase.
Which non attendees on Sunday? Place looked pretty well full to me - surprisingly so.

Jimmy MC, James Hargreaves and Bob Lord had empty seats all over the place

They’re certainly cutting it fine with the price announcements.

The official attendance was 19k, that includes non attendees who bought tickets.

To me it looked thinned out all over.

They will be announcing them in 4 weeks time. They won’t be called Early Bird though. More like Giving the Bird, to us loyal supporters.

I wouldn’t read a lot into Sundays attendance. They’ll be some who decided not to go due to performances but I think a lot will be due to other reasons, family day, transport, kick off time etc. I’m confident we’ll still have very good season ticket sales, even if there’s a price increase. After last season we’re all eager to see how our current group perform in the Championship.

Where do you sit? I sit in Bob Lord and upper decks of JH and JM looked full and only real empty seats were on wings on lower decks of both of these stands. Cricket Field had a few empty seats and probably 500 empty in Bournemouth side.
I reckon there was at least 18,500 actually attended. Not bad really considering how bad we are.

We were definitely low on numbers. The guys next and in front of me who travel up from the South weren’t there.

I can’t say I blame them really. Ultimately its an entertainment game and being poor in both boxes is t really great entertainment, not to mention it’s costly to follow football and especially when a game is on a Sunday and on TV.

Most I speak to are looking forward to getting back to the Championship and watching some goals and us being more competitive.

The Bournemouth following was very poor also.

I heard that it could be due to possible ground renovations - there were plans that got put on hold because we got promoted and they didn't want to miss out on ticket sales - so with us likely being in the championship with lower crowds wouldn't be surprised if we took the opportunity to do some work and they are seeing how they can move people before releasing the details
That would make a lot of sense.

My nephew had a swimming comp on Sunday so he didn’t attend, along with my brother & dad so there’s 3 empty seat in JMU

I was told about a year ago they wanted to put standing in the CF, but it's not a given the CF stand gets a safety certificate every year.

If they carried out the inspection on match day, it would never be granted based on the carnage on the concourse…

Spending all that money to install “safe standing” into a stand where everyone stands anyway…🤔🤔🤣🤣 save the money, give it Vinny for a new winger. 🤔🤔🥴😉

Personally speaking, I miss a lot more home games than I'd like but never due to performances. Kept going even during the winless misery under Cotterill, it's only outside factors that keep me away.
That said, a price rise might cause a rethink as financial reasons are always a consideration.

Only health issues would ever keep me away from buying a season ticket, I appreciate cost has implications for some, but in the scheme of things a £10 rise for example, out of something costing say £490 shouldn't really have an impact budget wise. Still hoping for a freeze, but guess it will be somewhere between that, or 5% rise.

Interesting this is Pete. Overall a 6% increase could be argued as reasonable, especially when they say they have only raised them once by 1.5% since moving to the new stadium.
With the abolition of the discounted rate for seniors the season after next they are citing the increase in senior season tickets year on year.
At the end of the day, pensioners watching Spurs are possibly a lot better off financially than pensioners watching Burnley.
I am sure Spurs will still be selling all of the season tickets and playing to a full stadium to watch the big Aussie’s “sexy football”. If of course he is still at the helm next season and the following season. They know they can sell out so this is why they have done it.
With us it would be different, therefore I cannot see any significant changes in the future for senior season tickets.

I think like Vincent they were hoping for a miracle and we somehow started winning, thus avoiding the drop.
Then the 10% price increase.

The big London clubs know they could probably fill the ground with tourists if they had to, all spending a fortune on replica shirts and club shop tat. Who cares about long standing supporters?

Apparently if you wish to cancel your direct debit season ticket you have to do it before 20th March .At this rate that will be before the top secret prices are revealed

Why is everything so hard work ?
I will get a season ticket no matter what but who is to blame for the delay Pace or Williams ?
What else can they do this season to wind us up?

I am reasonably sure that from a legal standpoint that the club have to give adequate notice of a price increase before a new term of contract, which is what a season ticket is.

If there are to be price increases and people then decide to turn down the option of renewal, it could well get a bit messy.

Aren't they legally required to inform you in writing if there is going to be a change in the price?

Waiting to see how the ticket exchange credit will work on DD renewals, seeing it’s so close to first payment.

4th of April for mine ... would appreciate some news from the club before this (I will be renewing but this is bad form by BFC) about price increases etc assuming there will be.

found this about DD payment changes - though I do not know what the t&c's of early bird season tickets with DD are

Is there a default advance notice period?
The default advance notice period is a minimum of 10 working days plus postal time. However the advance notice period can be shorter than this, as long as this is communicated to payers within the Direct Debit Guarantee when the payer signs up for Direct Debit.
