Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
That goal came from our attack passing the ball from their penalty area all the way back to Trafford who lumps the ball upfield and Bournemouth get possession
Two passes and 2-0

No cutting edge where thr game is won and lost. Never looked like scoring, always looked like conceding even if we had most of the ball

Apart from the fact he was unchallenged running from his own half.
Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
They’ve shown fight and have been better against a poor side. Unfortunately we’re just nowhere near premier league level.

Dara O shea- go close him down, backs off, lets him get into the box and get a shot off- criminal defending, just seen he's been hooked, hopefully wont see him start next game, he;s had a shocker.

What a load of shite.
We have a triangle of Benson, Assignon & another on the edge of their penalty area. Work it back to Trafford, when we are looking for an equaliser, from that they score. Awful is polite.

Will be fine in the EFL but not good enough for PL.
Reason for the defeat though is “Burnley 0”. Again.

Just not good enough. Trailing to a very poor side who were just waiting for our desperation to get big enough to gift them a goal.
Can't blame the effort of most players but some just can't be assed and some look like they wouldn't be out of place in a league 2 side.

all creativity and absolutely no end product
Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
Great example of the difference in the teams. Cook plays a lovely ball forward to Semedo, nicely weighted.
If that was us the ball would have been a yard short. We have had numerous opportunities to play a quick, accurate ball but we seem unable to do it. Either an extra touch is taken or there just isn't the execution. At this level it can be the smaller details which make a big difference.

It has to be the end of the Trafford experiment. For his and everyone's sake.
We have to do something different because we haven't got options in defence.

If you can’t score goals regularly in the PL you are going to be in a relegation scrap. It’s not rocket science.
Same situation under Dyche during our last PL season.

Ha, ha, Jay on in injury time at 2-0 down.
Please someone explain what that will achieve. Maybe to help defend set pieces?
Bizarre.

Last year’s team, at full strength and playing well, would have beaten this average Bournemouth lot out of sight. It’s so sad to watch this current team being outclassed by average teams.

Time to wake up for some on here, there won't be many you'll beat in the division below either with this team unfortunately because these have been mid to lower Championship standard today

Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
Some nice passing in parts and good possession stats but we are completely ineffective. We are weak defensively and don’t remotely look like scoring many goals or winning a match.

Just saw a shot of Trafford looking despondent there, and felt pretty rotten. Whatever you think of his goalkeeping, the task he's been given is just monumental for such a young guy.

I’ve been angry at performances but I’m now angry that Bournemouth are walking away with 3 points they didn’t deserve. Cullen needs to keep his place after his performance.

Would not matter whether Trafford or Muric were in goal
We had 17 shots and 5 on target but failed to score because the team he selects at start of play would not score in a Br——-l

Re: Clarets vs Bournemouth - Match Thread
For me bad performers today have to be Fofana, OShea and Assignon.
Amdouni had no impact as usual.
Positives were Berge and Cullen playing well and Vitinho too.
I'm glad Fofana is only on loan.

There's been one major thing for me we've been lacking this season, and that's a Nathan Tella type striker who can put the ball in the back of the net. Yes we've been useless at the back, but it's irrelevant if we're never a goal threat.

I hope the Board and Pace are hurting as much as the fans. If not they just dont care. A team now of no hopers just seeing the season through. Anyone who thinks we will walk the championship again is deluded, because all the good things associated with our manager and club have evaporated. That team today are just waiting for the final whistle
