In all fairness, we looked much better today. Cullen makes us tick far better when he’s in that double pivot. What we really need though is somebody alongside him and Berge playing as the advanced midfielder. Oh and a keeper that doesn’t dilly dally on the ball. Much as Fofana has done OK so far, he doesn’t hold the ball up and bring other players in well enough so for me he would be better off the bench. Additionally Bournemouth can consider themselves lucky (very) to finish with 11 men on the pitch. It seems the old adage is true that when your down there every 50 50 decision goes against you.

We have scored a total of 13 goals at home from 14 matches and 5 of those came against Sheffield United!
In our last 3 seasons in the PL Burnley have been 1 of the 3 lowest scoring teams and we will have suffered 2 relegations.
It seems that those managing the club never seem to learn the lessons from history. If you don’t score enough goals it isn’t going to end well.

Unlucky? Do me a favour! Hard lines? Shocking. This lot would struggle in the Championship or perhaps I should say will struggle in the Championship next season. There will be teams just rubbing their hands with glee waiting for Burnley to get relegated so they can kick our arses next season. This business of buying young talent and selling for a killing when the club sell on ….. with every beating every weekend the value of our “young talent” depreciates yet further. Booked after 20 seconds for total stupidity, leading to hesitant defending for both goals and throughout. Each time he got turned in the box, didn’t put a challenge in. It was a total shambles. As I say, against his recent form.

Relatively speaking and in comparison to the majority of this season, we did play ok.
We had a lot of possession and half chances but I never thought we'd get anything the minute we went behind.

I'd have thought this was a demoralising defeat for the players. It's one thing getting pumped every week but when you actually play ok in a winnable game it must be pretty depressing to realise you aren't good enough, as a team and as individuals, to play at this level.

Like Kenton points out above, a further stat, to score 7 goals in 12 home games against last year’s PL teams. That is why we are dropping, more than any other issue. Of those 7, 3 were within the first month against Villa and Spurs, so 4 goals since Sept 2nd in 6 months

This for me. It could seem a bit harsh, granted we were better today but again masters of our own downfall. Missed a few decent chances and done by a soft bit of defending for the first, then the inevitable counter goal late in the game. Defensively we are allover the place when under pressure and as said above, we don't score enough goals to have a chance of staying up. Really disappointing and I still think we will finish rock bottom. Just miles off being good enough at both ends of the pitch.

I have just given up caring ! it was like watching a pre-season friendly with nothing to play for.
It's inevitable we are down so nothing to play for, unsure what the mood will be like in the dressing room but I think most will want out.

First half we were decent, showed some fight and urgency. Second half though not so much, Bournemouth should have had another few with their counters. It's more frustrating that it was obvious what they were looking for everytime, but both CB's seemed to get it all wrong time after time.

The only positive was that it was better than the last few weeks, but that might well be down to Bournemouth not being interested in trying to outplay us, but rather just wait for us to make our inevitable mistakes.

People are taking a pop at the team because they’ve been horrific all season , almost beyond bad . The players simply aren’t good enough at this level, some not even close . You make your own luck , and we’re so bloody awful we’re unable to create chances and momentum on a consistent basis which in turn generates an occasional slice of the stuff .

I said a while back we would be lucky to get any more points this season. Take Luton and Sheff U out of the equation and we’ve amassed a princely six points in 24 games. Take Fulham out of the equation and it is two in 22. This guy is an utter Klown. This is beyond terrible.
