International Women's Day 2024 - Burnley FC

Post by Paul Waine » Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:46 pm

Inspiring and enjoyable Podcast by 4 representatives of Burnley FC on YouTube.

It starts with one of the 4 asking "What was your earliest childhood memory in sport?" One of the others answers "Well, I used to play football for England..." That was Ann-Marie Bardley, Head of HR. There was some surprise, then some laughter when Ann-Marie added "I didn't.. but my Dad had been on Burnley's books."

The others in the podcast are: Helen Gurman, CEO, Burnley FC in the CC; Lola Ogunbote, Head of Women's Football and Sharon Latham, Club Photographer.

All impressive people. All Burnley fans.

8th March is International Women's Day 2024. In addition to the Podcast, which is worth viewing/listening to, 3 of the Burnley Women players have been visiting primary schools in Burnley and speaking to the pupils about their experiences as professional footballers.

Well done, all.
