Wonder who would have taken it if Dyche had been in charge. Cornet possibly trying to take advantage of a bit of confusion caused by the managerial change because im sure Rodriguez would have been the set taker.

In the end it could have saved us as well.

Superb official programme at the top of the preview from the 1946/47 season at West Ham.......Just a mere 77 years ago!

Look at some of the names in our team that day.......Strong, Woodruff, Mather, Attwell, Brown & Bray......Chew, Morris, Billingham, Potts & Hays.

Any number of names there that would feature prominently in our future history.

We won the game 5-0 and effectively clinched promotion to the First Division.
