It is and then another on a Sunday in April - I was going to go Crewe today but something came up which meant I couldn't go.

Always surprises me that we don’t use some of our senior players who get little game time a run out in U21
Tresor etc Especially on International break week

Now 4-2 with Masara adding two more to get a hat trick since he came on at the start of the second half.

No suggestion that he's been injured though, heaven forbid they might tell us a player has been injured. He might just have been on the naughty step with Josh Cullen.

Doubt we are likely to catch Birmingham or Sheffield United

Cullen was dreadful at the start of the season and had started to hide from the ball. He was rightfully dropped.

He wasn't dropped though - he got a suspension and was then ignored for weeks despite a lot of shocking results

That's still dropped or he would have got straight back in. He didnt get back in the team because he had been awful and Berge/Brownhill was the more in form partnership.

Not really the topic to discus in this thread, but didn’t he also get an injury which kept him out for a few weeks? I think when it happened most people were in agreement that he deserved to be dropped at this point as he had been awful and results started to get better with him out. Clearly there in hindsight he was a bit held out to dry I think the formations and the way we played were just as much at fault and I don’t think anyone would argue he could/ should have been brought back sooner that he was.

On a more positive note the boy Masara sounds interesting. Hat trick after coming on as a sun at ht and only 16. Anybody had the chance to watch him live ?

Absolute rubbish.
He’s never hidden from the ball when playing for Burnley.
He was struggling like a lot of the team but his performances were being highlighted more than others because of where he plays on the pitch and how dangerous it is when you lose the ball in this area.
You look at games like Spurs though and the issue was more about the dreadful balls he was getting from Trafford and others. You could be the best player in the world playing this role but you are going to struggle if the ball into you is the wrong pace, height etc

Only watched him twice, very quick, quick feet as well.
Small, but he seems strong.

Looks a hard worker as well, hard to say what level he will play at so early but he looks like one with a lot of potential

He was dreadful and as his confidence diminished it looked to me like he was no longer demanding the ball in the way he usually does. After a break from the team, and a set up which allows Berge to pick up the ball off the back 4 and keeper as well, we are seeing him back to his best. It was too easy to press him earlier in the season because we were too predictable in playing out from the back.

Interestingly Crewe had 2 players with Maltese sounding surnames: Lucas Sant and Calum Agius

From what I can see, Sant is English, but Agius, although a Welsh youth international, was born in Malta.

I was told Burnley rejected a bid from Liverpool for massara already, kompany extremely high on him, will have him around first team next season if we go down and yes one win against Brentford has got me saying if we go down instead of when we go down
