Shame on the conspiracists and those who demanded to be informed on the private matter of her health. I wish her all the best.

Sad news, but you’d have to assume she’s in the best hands so would have the best possible chance for recovery.

Hopefully she gets left in peace now.

Hopefully caught quickly. I wish her a speedy recovery and the privacy that everyone deserves going through such a thing.
All of the furore about the doctored image the other week and calls for more information about her prolonged absence from public life didn’t sit comfortably, at the time.
Perhaps we now know why and hopefully a few will have been put back in their box, think about the individual, not their public status and their ‘right to know’, in future.

Regardless of your views on the monarchy, etc, she is a mother with young children, I hope she beats it and makes a full recovery.

Seemed fairly obvious why she wanted to be left alone at the time, but some ghouls can't help themselves. Don't know the lady, but good luck to her, hope she's ok.

Re: Princess of Wales
The bbc is stressing her need for privacy and the importance of protecting her from media intrusion.
It then proceeded to spend well over 2/3 of the main news programme on pictures of her walking up and down, and speculating on her condition.
I wish her well along with around 1,000 relatively young people who recieve a cancer diagnosis every day in Britain.

Choosing to doctor images rather than tell the truth is not the mature way to go about it and is what fueled the fire.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 6:21 pmSeemed fairly obvious why she wanted to be left alone at the time, but some ghouls can't help themselves. If anything it shows the importance of honesty. Unfortunately being in such a priveledged position comes with drawbacks, primarily a lack of privacy. She cant just choose to hide when she wants to, thats what she signed up to when she married into the family.
If theyd have been honest straught away they wouldnt have had to go through the media bombardment.

Re: Princess of Wales
Exactly what I thought upon seeing the news - and that's why I have absolutely 0 time or tolerance for them these days.
They've caused so much damage to society in recent years.
Irrespective of one's thoughts on the Royal Family as an institution, no one wants to see anyone ill - and she seems like a really decent woman.
The saving grace is that she really will have the best possible care.
Re: Princess of Wales
I’m not a royalist but anyone with any humanity can only despair at some of the idiotic responses but some on this thread. Let’s hope she makes a full recovery.

I use easily available photo editing software to make my photos look better, including editing out unwanted elements. I'm sure quite a lot of people do this too. I wouldn't perceive this as doctoring the photos do deceive anyone.

Nothing i dont care to be honest, they don't interest me. Im just giving an opinion from a neutral standpoint. I genuinely don't think people understand what being a royal entails.
Privacy doesnt exist, thats part of the role. I also genuinely find it worrying how easy it is to just doctor images now to create a false reality, but thats another discussion really.
Why on earth they thought it was a good idea is mind boggling.

Re: Princess of Wales
I think they wanted time to explain things to their 3 children and felt they were being backed into a corner by press and speculation. Probably not the best idea to edit a photo but probably a mother trying to present a brave face to the public.Goliath wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2024 6:49 pmNothing i dont care to be honest, they don't interest me. Re: Princess of Wales
If they didn't lie and put out doctored photos there wouldn't have been nowhere near the speculation that there has been. As Goliath has already mentioned it sends a message that it is ok for the Royal family abetted by the media to 'conspire' to lie to the public. It wasn't just a little lie either it was a catalogue of them.

In fact, you’d have to be brain dead to have assumed it was a recent photo, seeing as she was recovering from major abdominal surgery which we now know is cancer related.

Really? You missed that they doctored a photo and published it to the world to portray a false image?
I also find the digs at the conspiracy theorists bizarre. They were absolutely spot on and its this exact behaviour from the powers of the world that creates conspiracy theories
People dont think they can trust a word that comes out of the elite and that generates alternative theories. Unfortunately the are correct not to trust, we are constantly fed nonsense as has been shown over and over again
Ps i should add that its a horrible illness and I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. Hopefully its been caught early to give her the best chance of recovery.

It’s not bizarre at all. For every genuinely intelligent person that tries to do good by exposing someone or something regarding positions of power …. You get hundreds of not thousands of severely uneducated narcissists belittling a minority’s intentions to do good with wild and incredibly dangerous misinformation.
These people have made the true meaning of exposing genuine conspiracies a complete and utter joke.
