Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
Connor always puts in a decent shift for Wales yet at times when playing for Burnley looks disinterested. Personally I would sell him assuming Dirty Leeds come up with a decent 8
figure amount.
figure amount.

Imho, there’s a pre WC Roberts and a post WC Roberts…. Whichever one you get is championship standard I reckon.

Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
His long throw is an actual long throw for Wales.
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
Not sure how true it is or not but heard last week that he couldn’t wait to get out of the club.
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
Thought he had a very good first half. Unlike Pickford lol
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
If Leeds come up which looks likely they won’t want Robert’s.
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
I said it on a thread a while ago but I don't believe he's ever completely settled at Burnley. It just doesn't feel like a good fit and never has for me

Hmmm, players who couldn't wait to get out the door, could Zaroury be one.

Heard that the majority of the senior players want out along with loads of others who it won’t take long to work out given their lack of game time

If true then it's best they get their agents working on their exit.blatherwickstattoos wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 10:15 pmHeard that the majority of the senior players want out along with loads of others who it won’t take long to work out given their lack of game time
No point in hanging around where you don't want to be.
I remember when unhappy players put in transfer requests

Considering the current squad based on age and ability (and comments made above) it looks like there needs to be another massive overhaul of players in the next transfer window.
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
I remember the days that once you earned the shirt that it meant something. You didn't just get it taken away for no reason. That led to a team spirit and mentality that won you games of footballboatshed bill wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 10:34 pmIf true then it's best they get their agents working on their exit.

Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
He always had more licence at Swansea and for Wales. I still like him, and he had many good games for us, but never quite hit those heights. It has to be down to how we used him, We'll never know if he could do that in our systems, but probably not consistently.

There is likely more instability on here than in our Football Club.

Cork is one of them.
Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
Typical of this forum, someone suggests a couple of players want to leave, then a dozen posts later the majority of the squad want away!

Surprising that people know about players wanting away, given that time after time we are told this current bunch of players are remote from our fanbase.

I have got my boots ready for my trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday in case we are short of players.

Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
It's not that far fetched when you consider
Massive squad
Relegation zone
Getting beat every week
Low wages (compared to rest of the prem)
Lack of game time
Most will have moved away from family
The weather is crap.
There will be at least 12 players leave in the summer.

I hate playing here, I'm only on £30,000 per week.
If indeed true - then football is screwed in the long term for clubs like ours at this level. I think we already know this, though.

Re: Roberts for Burnley v Roberts for Wales
So some of our players can't wait to get out of the door.
Have a word with your agents and get out then. Close the door behind you.
If it is really because you want to play football, management issues or anything else find a club in whatever league there is a club wiling to take you on and do one.
I understand why they won't leave because they will not be willing to take a drop from their 30, 40 or 50 grand a week pay packets. That's fair enough but don't play the victim whinging about how you are not valued.
There have been a couple of times in my life where I was unhappy in my work and rather than sulk about it, I took a considerable drop in my salary to find alternative employment where I was more content.
Troy Deeney has had some pelters on here over the years but my respect for him has risen considerably after he decided that he wanted to still play football and signed for Forest Green at the beginning of the season.

Always felt he never wanted to be here, glad he’s left, awful PL footballer.
