Re: TODAYS FOOTY
I don't remember, it's was tongue in cheek - we did incredibly well considering the player and managerial changes, I thought we would struggle and play-offs would have been an achievement. Pressure on next season if we drop though, expectation will be through the roof and not just from the fan base.

Ipswich have been excellent, most of the season, in that vital last 20 yds. Scored some cracking goals.

Drew quite a few that we should really have won.Think it took the players a couple of months to get used to the way VK wanted them to play and then it clicked.

Well, Rovers are currently 50 minutes in and not had a single effort at goal. Wide or otherwise.

Phew
Re: TODAYS FOOTY
We were top I think after less than a third of the season. Excellent performance after the degree of change. Many people were saying at the time if we could be top 10 by Christmas and then push on to top 6 or beyond that would be an achievement.Robbie_painter wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 6:45 pmDrew quite a few that we should really have won.Think it took the players a couple of months to get used to the way VK wanted them to play and then it clicked.

Not saying it wasn’t a decent start but from memory we threw a few leads away after dominating games that we really shouldn’t have done thats all.

Re: TODAYS FOOTY
Feels like a repeat of their Cardiff game where they were winning going into added time and then lost 2-1.
Re: TODAYS FOOTY
Not for me - I'm able to detach and still ackowledge that brilliant season and huge achievement from this season's performance or lack of on several levels. We weren't discussing this season or the premier league.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 7:12 pmThat tickets been well & truly sullied we haven't built upon it.

Re: TODAYS FOOTY
For me it renders something pointless if you don't make it advantageous in the long run. The whole idea was to consolidate that achievement.
Re: TODAYS FOOTY
I certainly don't see last season as pointless. If you do, fine.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 7:19 pmFor me it renders something pointless if you don't make it advantageous in the long run. The whole idea was to consolidate that achievement.

Credit to Ipswich, rode their luck massively which you always need to do in a season. Rovers would be where Rotherham are if they didn't have Smzodics

90 + 6
I know, lets pass the ball between out own keeper and defender a few times, and not pump it up the pitch
Great to watch

Re: TODAYS FOOTY
Ipswich were fine. They played deeper second half looking for breakaways but the few they got they wasted.
Fiddlers did sweet fanny adams. The chances they got all came from Ipswich messing about at the back. Overall Ipswich defended well.

Re: TODAYS FOOTY
DL go behind to Watford after 30 minutes. Watford much the better so far.
David Webb reffing and as mentioned earlier in the thread he is another letting the game flow and turning down appeals that would have been given 2 months ago.

Is Dennis still a Forest player?
It really hasn't been a good move for him.

This has been a brilliant game so far.
I’m quite surprised at where Watford are in the league looking at this. They’ve got everything you’d need to be a successful team - pace, power, technique, a strong press. I guess they’ve not been consistent.
