That is why

Post by AGENT_CLARET » Sat Apr 20, 2024 5:29 pm

We will walk the Championship next season, a 9-1 aggregate win over one of our nearest rivals for next season and some of the bed wetters on here saying we'll be lucky to finish mid table or we'll near relegation again   clueless

It'll be nothing like the same team next season, so I wouldn't get ahead of yourself just yet.

Hope you're right, but with five players on loan, more out of contract, and one or two possibly having to be sold, the recruitment needs to be good. If it's the equivalent to this season at championship level, then we won't be coming straight back up.

Could’ve been a different result on another day today.

Muric kept us in it early on.

You could say that about our entire season with VAR and some of our game's with the lack of concentration that's lost us point's, another season we'd be above mid table with 50 plus points

After watching the championship this season anything but promotion would be a catastrophic failure. The teams in that league are absolutely shocking

You mean a catastrophic failure just like this season, failing as Championship title winners to make a decent fist of staying up and establishing ourselves as a PL team.

Out of the five player's on loan three will sign permanently, from the other two one is available for around 3 million euros, the players out of contract that will leave are player's that haven't hardly played this season so no big loss, then we've loads of championship standard player's out on loan coming back that will more than fill the gaps, we will have more than enough

With a spend of over £100m since VK has been here, so we should be challenging at the top end of the Championship.

We certainly won’t be walking the league though unless the manager goes back to valuing experience and continuity. Another shambles of a summer overhaul and we won’t be near the top of any league.

Don't forget the injured players

Also at least one player
(Koleosho) who will be a massively impressive at Champ level
Ramsey will hope to prove himself as a big player again.
Redmond may/may not have one big season left?

Couple of players from U21's will be bothering the numbers

Our squad is way better than any current Champ team - even Leicester. We’ll retain enough of it to go up next year - if we go down.

As presumably we’ll have the highest wage bill next year you’d expect us to ride pretty high . While the squad itself is gonna look very different, they’ll be enough retained players , the odd loan made perm , few new signings and hopefully the odd diamond or 2 loan players to see us right .

Champ may well be stronger with possibly 2 from Leics/Leeds/Soton staying down . Forest might drop plus the odd suprise package . I think there’s gonna be slightly upset types if they think we’re just gonna walk it though .

If you don't have one, then you're either making a lot of assumptions or you're very much in-the-know.

I suspect the former.

Tresor on loan to permanent

Esteve on loan to permanent

Assignon on loan to a very possible permanent

Bruun Larsen has a release clause of 3 million Euros

No inside information or crystal ball needed

I reckon I could pick an XI not starting today who would walk the Championship if they played every game. Yes we will lose players and some will be out of contract without me checking but that depth tells us all we need to know.

e.g. Trafford, Roberts, Al Dakhil, Beyer, Delcroix, Brownhill, Massengo, Ramsey, Koleosho, Amdouni and Redmond.

We will sell or lose about 10 but will have more left than last time. As Sheffield shows, teams cannot cope with our passing and speed.
