You could be from Knotty Ash and have a PhD in Scouse Studies and still struggle to make sense of Carragher....

I love watching these clubs who think it is clever to pass it out from the keeper, and then cock it up. Why do they do it?

Well if Chelsea were thinking about Pope, they will be thinking a lot more after that howler from Kepa.
Just what we didn't need.

I was talking to two Chelsea ex pats over here in a local sports bar a couple of weeks ago. They both said Chelsea should break the bank to buy Tarks and Pope.

Chelsea apparently signing Mendy from Rennes as their new GK so we don't need to worry about that

Re: Today's footie 20/9.20
There's nearly always one (or even two) weak links in the back players re ball control/passing ability. Yet, somehow, these teams still want to do this. I wonder if an analysis has been done on how many goals are "given away" from losing the ball whilst players are farting about with little intricate passing moves in & around their own quarter of the pitch?Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 5:44 pmI love watching these clubs who think it is clever to pass it out from the keeper, and then cock it up. Re: Today's footie 20/9.20
40 years ago Graham Taylor had the analysis done, which if I remember showed that 70% of goals came from the ball being given away in the defending side’s final third. It would be interesting to see whether after all the changes in style and ‘advances’ in the game since then much has changed
