Re: Demarai Gray
Contract runs out next summer, meaning he should be at an affordable price.
I'd still expect to pay a minimum of £20 million for him though.

Re: Demarai Gray
If he left, I could see him playing in Claret and Blue but it wouldn’t be ours.

Re: Demarai Gray
They're not getting anywhere near £20m. Would be a good signing.

Re: Demarai Gray
Not a patch on what we have already
Re: Demarai Gray
He's a weaker Nathan Redmond, and even how good Remdond looked as a young 'un.. he didn't turn out to be that good. Decent on his day, but very easily shut down.

Re: Demarai Gray
Depends what you call a good player. One that looks good in the eye with a few tricks and step overs or one who actually has an end product and affects the game. I'd put Gray in the former. Headless chicken.

Re: Demarai Gray
Would love for us to sign someone like Marc Albrighton - very much in the Dyche mould, experienced PL player and occupies a position that is needed urgently. Assume his wages blow our structure out of the pond though.

Re: Demarai Gray
Would be a good signing for sure. I fancied us to bid before he went to Leicester
Re: Demarai Gray
Doesn’t seem our style of wide man.
Surprised we haven’t been linked with Matt Ritchie, who is more our style of wide man.

Re: Demarai Gray
He’s not our type of player, i.e. he doesn’t reside in Mike’s bargain bucket.

Re: Demarai Gray
Agree that Albrighton would suit us better than Gray. I think the only way we would get him though would be if Tarky was going to Leicester and he could be part of the deal. As you say though wages could be a problem.burnleybassman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:39 amWould love for us to sign someone like Marc Albrighton - very much in the Dyche mould, experienced PL player and occupies a position that is needed urgently. Re: Demarai Gray
No chance of Albrighton-particularly with their Europa Cup programme and cup matches (something Leicester do well in)

Re: Demarai Gray
I think Gray will move this window-either on loan or a fee between £10m-£12m. Dont think he is in Rogers long term plans, plus they have isgned a Turkish international winger,

Re: Demarai Gray
Good player but doesn’t track back, think McNeil is our flair player, don’t think Dyche would be keen on two out and out wingers. If we had more dominant better centre mids, could be possible.

I would be gobsmacked if we got Gray. Cannot see there being any chance whatsoever.

Re: Demarai Gray
If we are baulking at 15m euros for Qaison (who looks better than Gray) then we have no chance improving the midfield it seems.
We need to spend money this window, maybe waiting till Tarky goes, who knows!
