Todays footie 3-10-20
Couple of thoughts.
Was Roy Hodgson on the Sean Dyche Summer coaching course(defence)? Never known CP to be so solid at the back.
How much of Kepa’s problems come from his histrionics at Wembley when he refused to be subbed after play acting? He’s never been as good since.

Calvert Lewin puts Toffees one up against Brighton. He rose like Paul Fletcher to head home. First Everton player to score in first four games in top flight since Tommy Lawton.

I don't believe how bad Pickford is!!! A simple catch to make of a half hit shot and he drops the ball to their player. He is truly awful.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
Two highlights so far today.
Tammy A at Chelsea almost in tears because they wouldnt let him take the second penalty. Poor lad.
Pickford dropping yet another clanger. Poor lad.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
Rodriguez is gonna be the bargain of the season, regardless of what someone on here was saying to the contrary.
He's making Everton tick with his passing and controlling the tempo of the games.
If they can keep this going then top 4 isn't beyond them.
Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
How much do you think his signing on fee, and salary will be. Doubt it’s bargain basement!but he is a good playerGodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 4:15 pmRodriguez is gonna be the bargain of the season, regardless of what someone on here was saying to the contrary.

Warrington Rylands 0-1 York City in the FA cup qualifying round on BBC iPlayer. Commentary sounds like it's from someone's living room.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
If he can propel them into top 6 then it's worth it.
It's been said he cost £22 million, but others say very little just wages etc.
He's a step above anyone they've got, like Defour was for us.
Just needed Ancelotti to get the best out of him.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
For all the talk about Brighton having improved, they are shipping plenty of goals, admittedly they have had a tough opening run of fixtures, Chelsea, Man Utd & Everton, and their one winnable game at Newcastle they won 3-0.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
I read £12 million and £140k a week. Certainly out of our reach, although it's clear the manager played a massive part in the move.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 4:36 pmIf he can propel them into top 6 then it's worth it.

At least it's good to see Brighton struggling as it takes a bit of pressure off us.

Whatever it was its worth it when you look at their start and the influence he's having.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 4:38 pmI read £12 million and £140k a week. Certainly out of our reach, although it's clear the manager played a massive part in the move.

Re: Todays footie 3-10-20
Depends. Let's say we bought him and finished outside the European places. It wouldn't have been worth it as the money we'd have gained, wouldn't have offset the massive wages.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 5:10 pmWhatever it was its worth it when you look at their start and the influence he's having.
Then you need to take into account what he would be on and what the rest of our players were on - player morale could drop due to them earning a lot less and in the future could cost us a lot more by raising other player's wages to level up.

I really want Man City to win 6-0 here, but I have a feeling this is going to be close. Maybe with even Leeds winning.
