Re: Pickford watch
Everton look a decent side under CA but this show pony is letting them down....so funny when he drops a bollock and starts punching the ground....he will still be GS's No 1 though.

Don't think even Sarfgate can carry on playing this numpty.
So long as Popey doesn't cock up before the international break, I think he's now certain to start.

Re: Pickford watch
What an horrendous error from Pickford - now we will be getting the 'Never lets England down' line trotted out when he keeps his place in the team. He's not a good goalkeeper making errors from what I can see, he's just not a very good goalkeeper.

I just watch Everton games waiting for him to drop a bollock because he does at least one everytime they play, surely his days as Everton's No1 are numbered?

Re: Pickford watch
Nah, he should have been certain to play last time. It won't make any difference.
Re: Pickford watch
How or why any manager would pick a goalkeeper who makes so many mistakes for tournaments football is anyones guess.
1 error and its usually home time.

Wouldn't you just luv it if he was subbed during the break. Ancelotti certainly didn't look impressed.

Re: Pickford watch
Pope should be number one, or if not Pope then Henderson, I wouldn't even have Pickford in the top 2, he's 3rd best at a push, you can't keep making basic errors, I can see CA acting in the next few days to remedy the goalkeeping problem at Goodison, this guy is a liability, and sooner or later his mistakes will cost Everton big time.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:51 pmDon't think even Sarfgate can carry on playing this numpty.

A pundit on BT sports has just said he made the mistake because it was raining, if it hadn't of been raining he would have caught it. Words fail me!
Re: Pickford watch
Time for Pope to step in. Pickford is an awful keeper. Unfortunately, he’ll still be number one.

Re: Pickford watch
No it was some other guy, Savage and Sutton were slating Pickford and the other pundit for his comments. Sutton said Southgate needs to make the right decision now.
Re: Pickford watch
He's listed as 6 foot 1 which is by no means short but always looks like a lost school boy especially in s congested penalty area
I've always rated him as a decent shot stopper but other than that it's hard to have any confidence in him keeping a clean sheet

Even if that muppet Southgate dropped him he would pick Henderson over Pope.

Re: Pickford watch
He would, and I’d be ok with that. I’m not “Pope is the man and Pickford isn’t. ” I’m just “Pickford isn’t the man”. He can pick Ramsdale, he can pick Henderson, he can pick Pope.... what he CANT do (if he wants any credibility) is continue picking Pickford,

Re: Pickford watch
Hear! Hear! bobinho, if Gareth persists with Pickford then words fail me. I don't care who he replaces the wally with, but anyone has to be better.
Grow some balls Gareth, and make the tough calls, otherwise clear off back to being a mediocre Championship manager.

Re: Pickford watch
He's just messed up again. A simple cross and he tried to punch it, the ball went three yards to a Brighton player who didn't score. The commentators are trying to be "fair" to him because he did play well in the World Cup.

there's definately become a trend to attack him , sour grapes is one thing because we have pope, but give pickford a break !
why should there be a critical focus on another teams goalie?

Chelsea paid £80m for Kepa and have just replaced him with Mendy at £27m. When they lose it it’s gone.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 3:54 pmLet's just take a moment to remember that he cost £30 million when Everton signed him...

Re: Pickford watch
You can't blame Pickford for Brighton's 2nd, but he was culpable for their 1st, thankfully from Everton's POV it didn't prove costly this time.

Re: Pickford watch
The photo is just a chance to appreciate his short arms. Pope would have held Brightons second with two hands.
Re: Pickford watch
He is looking slightly better, just now!
Re: Pickford watch
Strange people on here obsessed over Pickford, was the exact same thing with Joe Hart
Re: Pickford watch
well you can forget Pope after tonight. Dreadful.

Re: Pickford watch
I bet you can count Pope's PL errors on one hand (Burnley or otherwise).
Pickford makes errors left right and centre.

Re: Pickford watch
Unfortunately the conditions showed up a major Pope weakness tonight
Re: Pickford watch
Difference is that Pickford makes cock ups when the conditions are perfect.
When was the last league game that was error free?

Re: Pickford watch
Never mind Pickford, our own Keeper is like a little boy lost at times tonight and kicks like a 9 year old. Very poor all round.
