Reported in the Daily Mail yesterday that Tottenham generated almost £800k each match day just on catering.
So, providing the ham sandwich has a sell-on fee Good Shout

Literally no links for players.
We don't even appear close to a signing.
It's looking pretty desperate!

Why are we linked with a loan move for a striker we have 3 fit strikers> - this just gets more insane

Logan Chalmers must have something about him. Palace monitoring him as well.

McNeil to Leicester might have some legs. Looks like Maddison might be on a late move to Man United

Scored 3 goals in 4 years
A striker is a necessity for us. We only have two strikers, simply because I cannot recall, since January not having one key striker injured. And sorry but Vydra for me is not a serious PL striker. We should have been smart and moved him on and cashed in.If we start him in the next 10 games he won't score despite his running-out of his depth

We have 4 strikers who are all competent at this level. I'd say a new centre forward is the least of our issues.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 11:09 amScored 3 goals in 4 years

Given the knowledge that we appear cash strapped then, if we appear to be looking at bring in a forward(s), perhaps one of our more established forward players is to be sold to try and raise some funds?

Its clear we have no money at all for transfers. The Wilson deal was obviously reliant on Tarkowski going. Bargain basement Scottish or Championship journeymen are the only option now unless a late offer for Tarkowski or McNeil comes in

BPF ... looks to be a quality keeper now he's been Mercered.
£40-50 million for Nick Pope and sign 2 outfield players? Him, JT, McNeil and maybe Wood seem our main assets.
If we have to sell to buy, I think BPF could step off the conveyor belt.

What gets me is that Sean Dyche doesn't understand what Garlick is thinking. He should at least know where Garlick is coming from and why he's making these decisions. He by no means has to agree with them, he just needs to know why Garlick isn't releasing the funds - the reason behind it.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
If the reason behind it is the takeover talks then it is probably subject to a NDA and therefore even if Dyche knew the reason, which is suspect he probably does, he wouldn't be able to tell the press.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 11:52 amWhat gets me is that Sean Dyche doesn't understand what Garlick is thinking. Simone Rovera on twitter who is a journalist at Telefoot La Chaine in France is linking us with Angers midfielder Anthony Gomez Mancini
“Anthony Gomez Mancini (2001) of Angers is expected to leave (on loan with option to buy) in the Premier League at Burnley.
Some details still to be settled in the negotiations between the two clubs”

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Are people forgetting that we recruit for the Academy too, it is highly probable that we have Academy players we want to send out on loan in the next 2 weeks and we have Cat One commitments - The Academy is Pepper's remit so Sean can easily say he doesn't know, but you can bet he is keen to get some of our prospects out on loan into the EFL. Such a loan is a good way to assess a prospect, that we think we want to buy for the long term but would prefer to manage our funds in the short term due to the economic climate.

Do you think the club are purposely using this as a means to improve and sell at a profit?Chester Perry wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 1:40 pmAre people forgetting that we recruit for the Academy too, it is highly probable that we have Academy players we want to send out on loan in the next 2 weeks and we have Cat One commitments - The Academy is Pepper's remit so Sean can easily say he doesn't know, but you can bet he is keen to get some of our prospects out on loan into the EFL. Or bring into the first team?
Only seen Benson twice and he looks a tidy player.

Sounds like we went for him and made a bid. And then decided we couldn't go as high as they were wanting so packed it in.
It's hard to knock the board as I did feel like Liverpool were trying to take the ****.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
In all truth, none of us know if an offer was made and we all rely on snippets of tabloid gossip. I really hope bodies come in, if only for the squad morale.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:39 pmSounds like we went for him and made a bid. How much pace left at 33?
We missed out when he moved from Hull, Hammers got him and he's declined since.
Good set pieces (that's why we moved on to Brady when we missed out) but we do ok for them, pace and creativity we need.

True and I can see where you're coming from. This Wilson transfer has done my head in. He must be interested, as otherwise it wouldn't have dragged on. And yeah he had a poor game the other night, but who hasn't had a bad game.
The latest I've seen is a loan to buy. Trippier and Mee didn't do too bad for us.

Liverpool aren't daft & realise that hence the deal taking time if it happens & you only get the resale value if the lad continues to progress & do well which is far from a certainty.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:03 pmWilson offers resale value which can mean less of a risk.
