Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
1. Joe Lolley
Right midfield/winger. Fans player of the year. 9 goals and 8 assists in the 2019-2020 season.
I'm sure he would love to play in the PL and we are desperately weak on our right wing.
Imo definitely worth serious consideration and a possible bid in the next few days.

Re: Joe Lolley (Nottingham Forest)
Don't know much about him other than seeing him score against us for Huddersfield but I do know he was hauled off in a game recently after half an hour and hasn't been in the Forest squad since with the manager confirming he's not injured.
Re: Joe Lolley (Nottingham Forest)
Not for me, didnt set the world a light on his last premier league season, doesn't improve the starting 11, not one to be developed at 28, and again in 3 years no resale value.
He would literally just be a body in, and we cant be spending 10m on just s body.

Scored a good goal against us once.
That was five years ago now.

Let's be honest we're not going to sign anyone

Dyche will say that though, as a pop at the board. I think he said it before Stephens signed.

The first time he said he didn't expect any signings was after Stephens had signedFactualFrank wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 11:26 amDyche will say that though, as a pop at the board. I think he said it before Stephens signed.

Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
that would mean us dealing with nottingham forest...................been there.............done that...............MOVE ON
Re: Joe Lolley (Nottingham Forest)
Very disappointing if that is that case, unless that's a Board decision. Can't believe that there isn't at least 1 player from the Championship who isn't worth signing!
Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Going to take a lot of lolly to get Lolley
So that's us out of the frame

I'm bumping this thread because a good signing in this vital position may (imo) be the difference between survival and relegation.
Come on Championship experts let's have your opinions.

Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Brooks at Bournemouth - no chance
Sarr at Watford - no chance
others of note Wallace at Millwall / Mbuemo at Brentford
Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Do they have to be realistic/within our budget, or is just a wish list type scenario?

Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Only the man who signs the cheques can answer that, however apparently we have no money to spend, so presume even a fee of 2.2m and possibly 30k a week In wages is too much for us to be shelling out at this stage.ClaretAndBlue94 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 12:26 pmI cannot think of many reasons why we wouldnt have looked at him.
Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
If that's the case we might as well drop down to division one were we might be able to compete
Re: Best right sided winger/wing back in the Championship?
Well that's still 1 league above Bolton, and a far better state than Bury are in.
As a few have stated, that's what we are looking at if we dont run the club how Mike Garkick insists.
So if those statements are true the chairman is keeping us punching well above where we could/should be.
Very worrying times
