Disallow a Goal from Clarets History
Following today's precedential verdit in the case of Everton Vs. Liverpool you are now legally entitled to trawl through Burnley's history and disallow one goal.
I'm going to disallow Pavlyuchenko''s bleeding goal in the dying moment of injury time in that League Cup semi final.

Dave Bamber’s equaliser for Blackpool in ‘92. Really killed my vibe on the Longside just after Eli’s goal.

Re: Disallow a Goal from Clarets History
That was my first ever game Notts. Unbelievable atmosphere for a Div 4 match.
From the modern era...
Paylyuchenko is a good shout.
Wigan’s equaliser in 2009 (when Jensen went off injured). If we’d won that game, we’d have stayed up at Wigan’s expense.
Lincoln City’s winner perhaps.
Bolton’s winner at the Reebok in the Coyle game.

Trouble is, I don't think we would have got promoted if we'd have had a Wembley game to prepare forRowls wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 1:47 amFollowing today's precedential verdit in the case of Everton Vs. Liverpool you are now legally entitled to trawl through Burnley's history and disallow one goal.

Peter Noble for Swindon at The Hawthorns 68.....had been promised a ticket for the final if we had won....never have liked the League Cup since..Scrapping it was the only redeeming proposal of Operation Big Picture...imho

Was that the game we taunted Bamber for 90 minutes singing a song about his wife being a prostitute, his revenge must have been sweetNottsClaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 6:54 amDave Bamber’s equaliser for Blackpool in ‘92. Really killed my vibe on the Longside just after Eli’s goal.

Probably one of the many offside/handball/foul winners by Arsenal.

Burnley v Rovers 1982
0-1
Never felt so gutted as I did when we lost this game and then having to face Rovers fans at school after the holidays.

I wonder what wold have happened if Vardy hadn't scored in 2015 - would they have gone on that run that effectively ended up with the title the following season - would we have avoided relegation, and kept Tripps

Any goal, ANY, from the 01/02 season as we would then have made the Play Offs!

it was a lovely song though it just tripped off your tonguedougcollins wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:27 pmYou'll probably find that was every game he played in.
Re: Disallow a Goal from Clarets History
Any of Hamburg's goals being disallowed would have got us a replay. They didn't have the away goals rule then. Can I add that our last minute shot that hit the post should have a friendly Russian linesman standing by to give the goal?

Re: Disallow a Goal from Clarets History
You’re exactly right. Because there would be nothing to talk about. No Burnley, no Claretsmad, no Up the Clarets. You could’ve lived your life happily following whichever team you really like.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 11:07 pmEither of Britton's or Grewcocks so we wouldnt have to listen to the Happy Clappers droning on about Orient all the bloody time

Another shout for Vardy. That two minutes was effectively our season in a nutshell. So close
