Mee has been great is the positive - I am almost certain we would be losing right at this point with Long in there.

Lowton poor again. Out of position, giving ball away, weak link imo, and Barnes is doing nothing but whining all game. Get J Rod on

Lowton nearly scored from one. Granted the crossings not been great, but dont go all Donny on us and state fake news...
So if a cross went in but went hopelessly out of play you would still say it was a cross, wowsers!

We have 2 routes to goal. Wide men getting crosses in or looking ball to Wood/Barnes and win the second ball. Brighton are pushing both our wide men back onto the full backs so we're looking for the long ball. Is their defender 6 foot 7? Always going to struggle against that height.

If we don't change I think we will concede.

Mee has been phenomenal, as have the defence in general. Our midfield are struggling. Lets hope Jay and JBG come on soon rather than the last few minutes. The front two, other than a few long range crosses from Taylor have had little service. By comparison Brighton have gone down both sides quite often

To be honest I think we've only had those 2 routes for the past couple of seasons but we've got away with mostly. At the moment, none are working

No ones saying we can't get anything out of this game. The concensus is that after a decent start we are fortunate not to be going in behind at half time. The last 20 mins need sorting out

He’ll go Jay for Brady between 73 & 76
Then JBG for Barnes 79 to 82

Very good defensively so far but poor everywhere else.

I really hope we can nick three points to get our season started.

Dyche will think we’ve had enough chances to win the game so keep things the same. JBG for Brady and J Rod for Barnes for me and not too late.

Most people on here would pick the same starting 11 with perhaps one change. So, the coaching staff must be millionaires for devising the tactics ..............

Pope sloppy kicking should have resulted in a goal for them. We're slowly letting them back in the game.

I think they'll tire more than us though. Common clarets

Defence is solid. Lovely to see Ben Mee back, certainly a boost.

Attack, as sharp as a semi-circle.

Really would like us to try the Vydra + Rodriguez partnership we had after the restart. Fast, tricky, threatening.

Theyve got a 6'7" lad marking Wood FF, long ball, whenever a good one might land, is f**king pointless.
