Definitely wasn't Lewis Earl, quick Google image search ruled that one out. Dodgson definitely scored our goal though

Re: U23s v Villa
The left winger (Dodson?) started a bit ponderously but grew in to the game.
Perfect positioning for a winger when he made the header which led to his goal.
He's a big lad for 17

Re: U23s v Villa
They have to be listed as a trialist if they haven't actually signed for us but we had one played recently and the Premier League named him.

Flashscore always seems to name the trialists by name. But don't know just how they get hold of the trialists names?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:50 pmThey have to be listed as a trialist if they haven't actually signed for us but we had one played recently and the Premier League named him.

Sometimes it isn't quite so easy but it is a lot easier for me when I can be there at the games, always someone to ask, always something to check and then the trusted friend Google when you'd managed to get some information.

Soccer24 lineup shows Lewis Earl at cb alongside Thomas and had Dodgson listed at left wing right from the 1st minute. I presume they are informed once the teamsheet is released.

Re: U23s v Villa
Thanks for that link Vegas, hadn't seen the goals and just seen this link.
Reason for returning to the thread - the other trialist was Richard Nartey from Chelsea, played 25 League One games for Burton last season. He's 22.

On his performance, if we have a chance of signing him I think we should. Very good on the ball.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 5:27 pmThanks for that link Vegas, hadn't seen the goals and just seen this link.

Re: U23s v Villa
Richard Nartey is an interesting one. He's already played 29 games at Burton in League One where apparently he did really well. At 22 they've got to be thinking he's not that far off being good enough for our first team squad or what's the point? He's only got a year left in his "development" career. Either that or they're planning for the Championship.
Re: U23s v Villa
Saw him in the same Chelsea side as Mount a couple of years back. Looks a tidy player. Looked very capable. Comfortable on the ball and has a nice passing range. Reads the game quite well too.
