Wish Sky would ditch Sarah Stirk. Awful. Dougherty ok presenting but not good on commentary. Talks ten to the dozen! Cracking golf though. Don't want Johnson to run away with it. Druggie.

Re: US Masters
The record score sits at 18 under by Tiger Woods and Speith.
I think it gets beaten this weekend.

Each to their own. Does my head in with the way she speaks. That modern and slightly americanised way of tailing upwards at the end of each sentence. Plus she's a bit of a dog.

Langer is an amazing golfer, keeps rolling along. Still a major threat on the 'old farts tour'. He's been a pro golfer since 17 years of age. Incredible.

Difficult to see anyone catching DJ tomorrow, but the old adage may ring true.....'Masters doesn't start until back on Sunday'.
Great to see Mike Weir making the cut and playing well, he's had a lot of injury problems over the last number of years. He's recently joined the over 50's tour and playing solid golf. Was never a long hitter, but had a brilliant short game.

Hell of a birdie putt on the 16th from him, you don't sink many 60 footers. He's get a great chance of finishing under par, which at his age would be a heck of an achievement, hope he can card a decent final round.exilecanada wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:09 amLanger is an amazing golfer, keeps rolling along. Re: US Masters
DJ'S to lose now, but that brings it's own pressures, and we've seen larger leads than 4 strokes be overhauled on Sundays in majors.exilecanada wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:16 amDifficult to see anyone catching DJ tomorrow, but the old adage may ring true.....'Masters doesn't start until back on Sunday'.

Rory must be ruing his slow start again at a major, this is becoming an unwelcome habit for him. Fleetwood having a good week again, he will win a major soon I've no doubt if he keeps putting himself in contention, can't see it being tomorrow though unless he shots an extraordinary low number, but a top 10 finish is well within his sights.

Re: US Masters
Totally agree. When he's on his game he's arguably the best, but doesn't handle pressure well which is a 'must' for top champions. 2019 Open at his home course was a perfect example, first swing of the day and he shot himself in the foot! Low and behold, the next week he blew away the field at Canadian Open.

Re: US Masters
I remember a story told by a Caddy who, I think, had worked with Langer for the first time, which illustrated his serious, dedicated approach to the game ... " He asked me for a yardage for an approach shot, I told him it was 158 yards from a sprinkler head right next to his left foot .... he looked at me witheringly and replied, " From ze front or ze back of the sprinkler head ? " ....exilecanada wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:09 amLanger is an amazing golfer, keeps rolling along. Still a major threat on the 'old farts tour'. He's been a pro golfer since 17 years of age. Re: US Masters
Hopefully someone can make it interesting today. 3 or 4 shots can disappear very quickly. Although by the sounds of it DJ isn't bright enough to overthink or put too much pressure on himself.
Re: US Masters
Seems that like in football, the lack of any crowd takes all the pressure off players, thus the low scores we are seeing is evidence of that.
Far easier to play sport when no one is watching.

Re: US Masters
It was nice to see Rahm top a ball yesterday, trying to smash his second shot 259 yards. Because I can do that
Re: US Masters
Tiger on the 12th !!!! Wow
Re: US Masters
Yeah, when you see arguably the best golfer of all time have a meltdown like that it makes all us hackers feel a bit better about our games!

Re: US Masters
All this talk of being the lowest score ever but not sure it really counts being played in November with these greens and fairways.
