Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Welcome to Burnley young man.
Hopefully he will develop well and end up saving us a packet when the time comes to replace the current two first team squad RB's.

I thought that must be Nartey yesterday CT at RB ...
Yes he made a few mistakes towards the end of the game but had a cracking 1st half ... Will be interesting watching him over the next few games

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Not had the chance to see him play unfortunately - but that's the case for so many of the new players we've brought in to the under-23s and under-18s.

Personally, i thought he looked better when he played at centre back vs Villa.

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
I put enough into that football club - got no response from them when I sent them an email regarding switching the fundraising, no acknowledgement let alone a thanks, and then they want me to pay more money to watch under-23 home games when I've already paid for a season ticket. No chance of me spending on Claret Payer.

Looked one of the better players against Fulham. I thought him, Jensen and Gomez Mancini were our stand outs, though that's only off one game. Mancini looked better than Benson - lets hope he is and can keep it up. Can't have too many good prospects.

I would get £25 of enjoyment reading your reports so I will go halves. Let me know how to send you the cash if you agree.

No bite, nose, spite, face - just disgust that as a season ticket holder and shareholder who has put a lot of money into the club they want extra for me to watch these games. There comes a time when you have to tell them no.levraiclaret wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 7:54 pmbite, nose, spite, face? Would you get £50 worth of Enjoyment from watching the U23 games?

If I read that right it appears as though you believe that you should get it free whilst the rest of us has to pay? Surely you don’t mean that??ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 7:57 pmNo bite, nose, spite, face - just disgust that as a season ticket holder and shareholder who has put a lot of money into the club they want extra for me to watch these games. Not at all do I think I should get something for free that others don’t. If we were able to go to the games then they would be free to season ticket holders. I’ve just decided enough is enough in terms of paying them more money.PaintYorkClaretnBlue wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:07 pmIf I read that right it appears as though you believe that you should get it free whilst the rest of us has to pay? Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
It’s a strange signing. He is 22 year olds and had a very successful stream in league one. Is this a cheap replacement for Beardsley long term? Could be another Lamptey

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Looks very promising. Played 29 games in League 1 last season and will have picked up good habits being at Chelsea since the age of 9. Also educated at St Paul's London. Add to the recent mix signing 2 United academy players, and the future signs look good.
Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Started years ago, it's just got worse season after season.
As a poster above says, it's the premier league in a nutshell, let's hope the new guys want to actually be a community club and sorts it out.
It will certainly help get fans quickly on side.

How is that different to a ‘press pass’ afforded to other reporters.

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Communication from our so called supporter liaison officer would be a start as well as a ticket office who understands how tough these times are for some fans. That would go a long way to getting me back on side personally. As it happens, I support the team one hundred per cent but off the pitch my apathy is growing.

I’ve no problem with the ticket office. I think they often get blamed for things that are out of their hands. What ticketing problems have you had?

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
I missed a payment earlier this year and when I came to pay it there was a 15 pounds admin fee applied I emailed Darren Bentley politely explaining that while I wanted to pay the fee I couldn't afford the 15 pounds admin fee and asked the club if they could as a gesture of good will waive the fifteen pounds admin fee as I'd never had it happen before and it was a genuine mistake. He said to me it wasn't his department and forwarded it to the ticket office with a certain persons name cc'd into the email and wished me luck which was fair enough. A month or two went by with no response, I still had direct debits coming out for the season ticket no problem. When it became apparent that you could cancel the season ticket in lockdown I emailed the direct debit line of the ticket office asking if I could cancel, to which they replied yes I could and it wouldn't be renewed for the following season. I waited while after the date of the last direct debit was due to come out and then cancelled my direct debit as I'd cancelled my season ticket. What wasn't communicated at the time was that they hadn't taken the DD on the agreed date at the time of my cancellation even though it was well past the agreed date at the time of cancellation which resulted in another 'missed payment' and another admin fee. I understand that I should have checked to make sure it had come out, however as you can appreciate i had just lost my job, had enough money for 1 month of bills and rent with a kid on the way so in all the panic and stress I just wanted the club to show a bit of understanding and compassion. It is the second run in I've had with the ticket office, and quite frankly the way I was spoken to was unacceptable. I'm willing to go into more detail via email if you wish Tony because it's far too much to be putting on here.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 9:02 pmI’m still awaiting a response from the SLO from April. At worse this guy should have some loan and resale value.
At best he could be a very astute bit of business.

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
Ah yes, it's because I've not heard that line trotted out for a while, with season tickets/refunds/ballots/threats are a bit of a touchy subject.Local cricketer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 9:32 pmSeason tickets frozen again though. You are forgetting the important things macca
The club should bin the motto "one club for all" and replace it with
"Season tickets are frozen, what more do you want"
Far more catchy and factual
Re: ARTICLE: Clarets complete Nartey deal
I imagine that the success on the pitch has meant we can be more professional off it. The club will be hiring commercial experts whose specific task is grabbing every penny off as many fans as possible.
No doubt when we eventually end up back in league two the club will be back to a load of locals running the show, going round rattling buckets. Just as long as my dad doesn’t get his bucket out again
