No option is there? People’s safety comes first.ClaretDiver wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 4:55 pmJust seen that pop up on Sky...right decision like you say Tony

One wonders if this is a sign of things to come. If many more are postponed there's gonna be one he'll of a fixture backlog towards the end of the season.

We should have handed city a 3-0 result on saturday and blamed covid it would have worked in our favour...

Re: Aston Villa v Newcastle postponed
I must admit I’ve had concerns all along as to whether the season would finish. We keep being told that Premier League clubs are making things absolutely safe and yet this happened.
I also have concerns at people attending these behind closed doors games. There is a reason they are behind closed doors and yet there will be people travelling distances to go to games even though under the rules they are allowed to attend.

They have discussed it and there will be a point in terms of number of games played when they will consider it a season played with champions and relegated clubs confirmed etc.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 5:35 pmthe way it's looking for us I hope they scrap the season

If they scrap the season we would go bust between the wage bill whilst paying back 90% of our revenues to the broadcastersVegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 5:35 pmthe way it's looking for us I hope they scrap the season

Didn't they mention something along the lines of 2/3rds of the season?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 5:41 pmThey have discussed it and there will be a point in terms of number of games played when they will consider it a season played with champions and relegated clubs confirmed etc.

To be honest, I can't think why anyone would buy a bottom 3 PL club at present.

Re: Aston Villa v Newcastle postponed
Newcastle had issues last Friday with the palace game because of Covid they couldn’t field a full strength side, surely at that point everybody should have been tested before playing, you know you’ve got issues you should find out the extent of the issues & just stop regardless of any punitive measures, Newcastle should have pulled the plug pre palace at the first outbreak.

One postponed game since the restart back in June. Not sure there's any reason to panic just yet.

Had exactly that thought. Unfortunately they'd just postpone it and make us play it in any case.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 5:10 pmWe should have handed city a 3-0 result on saturday and blamed covid it would have worked in our favour...
