He can go whenever he likes for me. I only want a manager here if they want to be here. But Derby are looking like they're going down to League 1.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Amidst all the petty bickering there is a suggestion that the ALK deal is not as close as may have been suggested on Friday.
Would anybody be able to share any more detail on this regardless of which of the crappy tabloids any news may or may not have appeared in.
Thanks.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I can see where others might see higher spending power as the only consideration that Dyche might use in his decision to resign from Burnley and move to pastures new. However, a major disadvantage to every other possible employer must be the job security and amount of control over almost all things BFC - barring the finances, of course! I see no other club that resolutely sticks by their manager through winless runs, at times painful to watch football and a relegation despite having several successful and rewarding campaigns overall (even the 2 promotion seasons and the 50+ point PL seasons were not without periods where we endured periods of total dross.

Friday wasn't it according to our friend "in the know"?
You know who I mean? The person who keeps saying that he won't post on the takeover any more yet can't resist and comes back time after time with supposed inside info that doesn't materialise.
Laws of averages says that he is bound to get something correct eventually!

These negotiations are almost becoming as protracted
as the Brexit ones. Almost but not quite.
Garlick is negotiating in the best interests of the club?
Whilst the government seems to be negotiating in the best interests of?
PS Do not wish for this to become a political post.

Who knows how close he is to it? Everyone who gets snippets of inside Info are getting 2nd hand info at best, sometimes it's been passed down the line 7 or 8 times. You rely on trust.

Someone else on this thread, even this morning was stating, ‘Prepare to be surprised’.
Seems like there is someone else you need to make snide comments about as well....although I guess if they post enough too, they’re bound to get something correct.

DJW - Any info. on when this is likely to be rolled out to the masses?

Nowhere else to post, so here is nearest to appropriate!
The salaries the new owners must pick up. Some have been upgraded since, I believe.

Are you being serious or mocking others on here? I think the vast majority want it concluding asap for the stability of our football club.
Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Yes I have read this thread, particularly where you keep saying that that you won't post on the subject again.
Seems you have to keep coming back with more little teasers, perhaps in the hope that eventually you can say....."told you so"...
Like I said - laws of averages!
Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
And Friday’s reporting to the city ? Perhaps they are having a nice weekend away before reporting it on Monday otherwise there could be some egg on your face.
Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Why don't you just give DJW a break. At once you are demanding concrete information but at the same time putting down the only person that has provided any.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I've just removed some unacceptable posts on this thread and I'll tell you they are from BOYSIE, Stockbrokerbelt and safron.
I know what I know on the potential takeover, and there is a lot I don't know. I've tried to pass on as much as I can and as honestly as I can. I'm not prepared to put up with some of the comments thrown at me on this thread any longer. So I won't be commenting again but if I see any other posts that are becoming personal, aimed at me or anyone else, those posters won't be posting on this board again. If it continues, I'll be left with no option but to limit this board to the times when a moderator is available, for the rest of the time it will be closed down.
So do me a favour will you? Either post with some decency and respect or clear off.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I am busy right now and I only saw the ones aimed at me because someone kindly reported them. If you do likewise then I'll be alerted and I will deal with them. And I'll also be keeping an eye on posters who choose to like these personal posts because that's equally unacceptable. I know I'm guilty at times but what I've just had to remove is absolutely ridiculous. I thought it was bad enough last night, being called a liar because I had an opinion on a player.

I think too many people have too much time on their hands with all that is going on. I've had some pretty serious personal insults and insinuations thrown at me in the past and only last night too. When that happens it is very difficult to let it slide even though i know it is better to. FWIW I enjoy any titbits of info off anybody who has the fortune to know inside info. How we compute that is not your fault Tony and neither is it DJWs. There are no sides here..well there certainly shouldn't be.

I’m not interested in who knows more than who if anything at all, I’m just interested in Burnley football club, that’s why I come on this forum.

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
I think because the whole thing seems to have been tantalisingly close to completion for most of last week and short of a formal announcement was apparently done and dusted, people have got very giddy, especially as every time you click on this thread right now you expect there to be the post which says TAKEOVER COMPLETE! And now sadly, we get hints that all may not be well! Impatience makes people fractious, unfortunately!

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
It’s widely known that Claret Tony is in communication with the club more often than most who post on here. He probably has more info than most but some posters clearly don’t and are saying certain things will happen that then don’t and keep doing this. They are ruining the thread for others.
Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
Boysie's post was completely unreasonable. I'd suggest it's time to start permanently banning troublemakers rather than putting restrictions in place to the detriment of everyone.

Approaching 100 pages
Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
As a very regular reader of , but not poster to, this vital message board for Clarets fans I am horrified at the way it has gone downhill in the last few months. I had hoped that the limitations to football related matters, which I have to say that I strongly supported, would have acted as a wake up call. But I was wrong.
It surely must be clear to everyone that CT is reaching the end of his tether. Please, please stop and ask yourselves where this would be without his enormous dedication. Do you really want UTC to disappear? I would certainly support a 72 hour shut down to give everyone a taste of the alternative and time to reflect.
And before anyone jumps down my throat, I am not a friend of CT. I have met him on one occasion only.

Agreed 100% I took a break from the board during the initial lockdown due to the pointless childish bickering mostly over how someone had interpreted stats on the COVID thread. This thread which is also very important to us all although I would suggest not quite as important as the COVID one which got ruined is also heading that way.
Anybody posting abuse even if in response to someone else should get a warning and then banned for a period and then eventually banned permanently if they carry on.
Anyway apologies not the point of this thread.
