Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, hopefully one day he will be able to make AFC Blackburn in the national league north once they restart.

If Dyche isn't managing us tonight because he has gone to see family in Workington, then I shall be worried.

Can't say I have any issue with the lad.

Been very pleasant everytime I've met him.

Yes he plays to the gallery as a Rovers man, but he's actually a decent fellow and I won't gloat in a man losing his job.

Saw him in Whalley once - had my Burnley shirt on he gave me a smile and a thumbs up......he’s ultimately just a local lad done good........no issues with that.

Great Harwood lad, who supports Rovers. He grew up in a town that is half and half and so is very well versed in playing the Burnley pantomime villain. I have a hell of a lot of time for him. Always had time for a chat, and banter. He picked up a sympathy card in Whalley post office and waved it at me after our 5-0 drubbing and gave me that grin. Another time in a queue I ask him if he was still out injured or did I need to wait outside for him?

Wish him nothing but success as long as he stays away from Deadwood.

He’s a good bloke apparently but I was told he was pretty inept when he took over at Oldham

Yep, I know some lads who know him, and, as above they say he’s a great guy. Again, not revelling in the fact he’s lost his job, but, was a bit surprised when he got it.

He may be Rovers through and through, but he really is a decent enough local lad and I wish him well in his managerial career unless he takes over Bastards at some point.

He’s certainly not Simon Garner, who is an utter ****.

Losing your job as a footballer or a manager isn't quite the same as losing your job in any other industry. Lets not get weighed down by the sadness of it... he'll be alright, he doesn't operate in the real world.

Get sacked as a manager for being utterly shite, and the door opens on another opportunity which will pay hundreds of thousands of pounds. His contract may even get paid up, but if it doesn't, a big proportion of it will.

Get sacked elsewhere and you won't get a penny other than what you are owed in wages from hours already worked. Then you'll be lucky to get another job.

Met him a couple of times, seems a decent bloke . He was watching the Clarets U23's last season in a game at Curzon, he even
said "WE should of had a penalty there !! "

After waiting nearly 50 years to get back into the league Barrow look like they are in danger of dropping out at the first attmpt so something had to be done

They seem to lose a lot of points from either leading in games or being level and conceding late goals - hopefully something a new - ad may be more experienced manager can address

I doubt he was getting hundreds of thousands at Barrow.

Seemed a very odd appointment, given Dunne's lack of success so far at lower league level.
It's a tough job for a seasoned pro. I can only assume that he came "on the cheap", otherwise a more experienced lower league manager would have been better.
As others have said, he appears to be a very decent bloke, but on evidence so far, he's a clueless as a manager, and that's why he's lost his job.
People who aren't very good at their job, and are failing, most often get sacked. That's life I'm afraid.
So I don't celebrate him losing his job, I'm sure his heart was in it, but I don't sympathise either since he was so obviously not getting the results.

They probably thought he had lots of contacts in the game to attract better league players.
