Massive
That was a huge win. The polar opposite of the Leeds game. We did nothing second half but we see out the game with a vital win. Whenever we go up you always fancy us.
Defended from the front.
Delighted with that regardless of the style.
Particularly when you see how many were missing. Taylor coming off. No options up top to change.

Re: Massive
Agree - massive.
When you see that bench you realise the negligence in terms of recruitment. ALK takeover can’t come soon enough.
But otherwise our ability to defend a lead is outstanding.

Re: Massive
Huge win.
Sheffield are gone now, if they weren’t already. We have opened a little gap, and if we beat Fulham I think we will have a very nice cushion going into a period where I suspect the season will be paused (not to mention, with an open window and a fistful of dollars in our pockets).

Spot on. The win is all that matters in the circumstances. Couldn't care less about the performance.

Re: Massive
Agreed, performance is definitely secondary to three points.
A nice shiny new right back and right winger from our new Yanks and we are good to go.

Re: Massive
Yer take the points for sure now Fulham will be a much different game
Re: Massive
Good victory, now it's two from six to go down at this stage.
Barnes should have hit the ball first time with a volley but instead he's looking at the keeper instead of the goal.
Wood has made the wrong option of trying to glance a header when heading the ball back in the direction of the cross would have resulted in a few goals.
It's easy to say of course, but they are on £30,000 a week and they should be expected to learn from the basic errors and improve.
Those choices should be ingrained from 11 yrs old really.

Barnes’ effort was pretty unlucky. Nine times out of ten, that would have gone past the keeper.
Wood taking a wrong option could surely only result in one goal, at best.
Football is instinctive. I don’t think either of the scenarios referred to could be classed as errors - let’s not forget that the opposition are always aiming to prevent things from happening as well.

Re: Massive
A win from a very safe defensive display. I think we need to be clinical if in a position to enter the market in January. This Burnley side has a lot of 1-0 wins in it . As has been said Lowton has stepped up his game so I think RB is less of a priority. We need however to make some decisions-I think we need to write JBG of. and run down his contract.A club like us cant afford someone with his injury record, and we need a fourth striker as Vydra is not the answer. Also think Wood and Jay have been off their games this season. Therefore a good naturally right footed wide man and Josh King would be great business in this window

Not a bad day at all. Burnley win, Deadwoods lose (Now 14th) and Preston win (Now 11th) to go above them.
Very satisfactory.
C'mon you PL Clarets.

It’s the choices that have been ingrained from the age of 11 that mean they are playing for Burnley and not Barcelona.Pstotto wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 8:50 pmGood victory, now it's two from six to go down at this stage.
