Well we have been spoiled for choice on mainstream tv tonight.... The Masked Singer (Frank and Steves favourite) or "Michael McIntyres The Wheel" (Steve and Franks favourite)

Re: The Masked Singer
I accidentally caught some of this last night.
Now, there are quite a few contenders out there, but that must be the worst piece of television I have ever seen!
Everything they say has been written for them.
The same sequence of camera shots for each segment.
One highlight for me was the young blond woman saying she thought one of them was Des Lyman - I refuse to believe she has ever heard of him!
One of the producers will have said "say that, the old housewives used to love him!"

I reckon one of them is Simon King from the Hairy Bikers - and what a voice he has if it is him.

My missus said that to, Vi King. Normally calls himself Si King. Plus they did a show where they did sing a bit.FactualFrank wrote: βSun Jan 03, 2021 11:09 amI reckon one of them is Simon King from the Hairy Bikers - and what a voice he has if it is him.
The one I think I got was Lenny Henry.
Missus says first one was Gabrielle .

Re: The Masked Singer
I caught about ten minutes of it and to be honest the actual concept isn't bad, it's just the format is dragged out to excrutiating levels - and you've also got a two-hat like Jonathon Ross on board which tells you all you need to know.

First time I've watched it, perhaps a bit early to judge whether to continue but when Lenny Henry sang having been unmasked he looked to be miming, anyone know if they do.

A show that could be 1 minute long.
"Who are you?"
"It's me: C tier personality"
Done. On next, monkey tennis.

I Agree with 'Lowbank' on Harlequin & Sausage.
Think Dragon is Jenny Ryan (Vixen) off The Chase.

Re: The Masked Singer
I'm not sure that I quite get the concept of this programme having never watched it, but I don't think I'd know who half of the people mentioned above were even without a costume/mask on. Who is this thing actually aimed at?

But you would need to have watched the programme long enough to form that opinion - and not be arsed to pick up the remote.conyoviejo wrote: βSat Feb 06, 2021 10:42 pmIt's aimed at people who can't be arsed to pick up their remote and switch it off. It's absolute garbage viewing..
