FA Player & MK Dons
Has anyone used the FA player before?
Assume you can login via a phone, tablet or smart TV?
Had a quick look and I had to register and I’m sure it’s simple enough when Saturday comes but I’d like to know I had everything working before the game.

Once registered you will just have to click on the game of your choice. There are a couple of women’s super league games on at 12.30 on Saturday so you could just try them out to ensure everything is working ok.

If you have an Android TV or Android based smart device like a fire stick you may be able to download or sideload the app otherwise it's a case of using Apple airplay or Chromecast depending on your phone or TV model. I think apple users can download the Chromecast app that may let them cast to a Chromecast device or TV, but not sure.
Android users just hit the cast button top right if they have a Chromecast TV or device.
If you have a non Chromecast TV, or one that has airplay without an apple device then you're stuck screen sharing via wireless display. Motion tends to be bad when casting with Chromecast but even worse when screen sharing. But wireless display is a feature of most TVs that don't have Chromecast and can be used on Windows or on Android.. Although some Android devices have removed the feature.
To cut the long story short it really depends what TV, phone or tablet and what smart TV devices you own.

Re: FA Player & MK Dons
I might be wrong but I'm sure I've used this before for an England u23 game when Dwight was playing. My only option is to sit at the computer and watch it as I did for the League Cup games earlier in the season.

Re: FA Player & MK Dons
Thanks Everyone. I’ve gone through the registration process, I’d advise you to do this on a PC rather than a phone.
Looks like you will need to register ahead of the game.

Re: FA Player & MK Dons
Have samsung phone and TV and can cast to TV using "Smartview" app
Re: FA Player & MK Dons
It seems that you don’t need to register on the mobile app. Just press continue without sign in and the games list appears.

Re: FA Player & MK Dons
You can't cast using the FA player app using Smartview. What you may be able to do though is share your phone's screen.
Basically this is the wireless display feature I mentioned in my last post, and will give poor results with motion.

If you're like me and have non-Chromecast TV, just use a HDMI cable.
no lag or freezing (assuming laptop / wifi is ok).

Re: FA Player & MK Dons
Another option rather than casting from your phone etc is to go to the internet application on your TV if you have that option and just go to the FA Player website. Just tested it out using their videos.

Re: FA Player
Because I’m one of them saddos that won’t let things lie... Milton Keynes do not have a team in the football league as far as I’m concerned. The way it all came about is a stain on the game imho, so whenever we face them, there’s no game.
Re: FA Player & MK Dons
Can’t get a full list of teams to support,no Burnley there.Any ideas guys n’ gals?
