Gotta remember Vydra is returning from a back injury. He just may not be up to it.

I think Dyche wants to play Barnes and Wood in an attempt to restore their confidence.

Wood has missed a clear goal scoring chance 4 or 5 games in a row now, I appreciate he might be better suited to our system than Vydra, but at some point others have to be given a chance. Doesn't have to be Vydra. There needs to be competition there.
He's getting into the right positions to miss those chances, that's the hard part. The goals will come.

They seem confident enough when there saying they want 50k a week. Man up and start scoring. The confidence thing shouldn't be a thing these days with the money they demand

Completely agree with that, but what if the goals don't come? How long do you give him? Like I said, it's 4-5 games now with clear obvious goal scoring chances he's missed. Do we give him 6 games? 10 games?

Dyche’s philosophy. Not necessarily. Jutkiewicz used to get into some good positions and had chances.

Really don’t know why we even bother with cups. We might of well played the U23 today and save the legs. Had fans been allowed in today it be interesting to see what the gate would of been, I religiously bought cup tickets but won’t bother any more as it’s the same season after season. It really doesn’t matter if we draw City or Marine, the result is always the same.

Chris Wood looks so devoid of anything - as has been said he needs the competition in the squad to push him, but it's not there. Perhaps time to give someone else a chance now in this game - Vydra or one of the youngsters

No one will want to score more than they do. They'll have big goal bonuses to boot.

Both need to get back to scoring.

Anyway, just saying that's two reasons why I think Dyche may not be playing Vydra. He'll probably come on soon.

Or the manager realises Wood is a better bet than Vydra that generally we all can see
All things being equal yes, but does that mean Wood plays regardless of how he's playing? I don't agree with that. Hopelessly out of form and needs hooking. And if Vydra isn't then good enough to have a go then we need someone else.

One of the classic football clichés. But I'd rather my striker scored 1 of 3 chances, than 0 of 10.

Yea however we have a squad that should do its job for form/out of form player rotation. If Vydra doesn't start when these two are this **** how will he feel.

We look poor second half, too many long balls, when to beat a team like this we need to keep it on the deck, at least until we are in a good position to get a cross in.
The time to change it is now, because MKD will love it if we just keep playing like this.

I got a bit of a hammering when saying Wood needed hooking a few weeks ago, he’s way out of form and needs to fight for his place. Like last time I’m not saying he’s no good, when he’s at it he’s our best finisher by far but when he’s not at it, he’s really not at it!

Remember when Vyds was called on and played really well with Jay after project restart? Hopefully, if we called upon him he could do it again.

Remember what Barnes did to justify his recall and consistent selection? Neither can I

if you knew nothing about football and were told that one of these teams was in "the best league in the world" you would struggle to work out which team. This lot are 16th in League One.
