Let's hope they develop a real affection for the Clarets as well. Seem like a talented bunch.

The boardroom changes are starting to filter through at Companies House - though nothing on yesterday's announcement yet

So frustrating to be on lockdown, we're missing out on seeing the calibre and gravitas of these boardroom chaps sat in the directors box on matchday.

I got the impression from one of Mr Pace’s comments that his London ties were largely connected to his faith and he will be taking up a similar role in Chorley, I may be wrong but that is how it came across to me at the time.

I don't know about his London commitments but he did say his children were born in London. He's been involved in the church at Chorley for a while I was told a few months ago.

He is currently serving as President of the London Mission of the Church of Latter Day Saints - that 3 year term ends in June

The more I hear about Mr Pace the more I think that he & shall we say your average Burnley Supporter are slightly strange bedfellows.

No. It’s Alan Pace whose children were born in London. That’s who I was referring to. You are correct on Checketts though.

I’ve been skimming through Davila’s book from a few years ago “The Innovation Paradox” which I came across when looking for ideas in my professional life some time ago.

Generally it’s advising how to innovate like a small startup even if the company concerned is big and well established.

I think we get the Artificial Intelligence angle that they aim to use (intelligence of any type would be good progress :D ). But I’m fascinated as to how they will innovate in other areas by using Davila’s advice, because innovation often involves risk so that guarantees exciting times, to use a PaulWaine-ism, even if there is a chance of it going wrong.
